This place is amazing! You could literally spend an entire day (or days) here. So much to offer. Venue for concerts is intimate with great acoustics. I highly recommend enjoying lunch at the restaurant where they serve delicious seasonal meals made with local ingredients.

We’ve been to many museums but none like the MIM. It is so comprehensive regarding music and instruments from all over the world. Individual hearing devises are really cool as you walk from one musical exhibit to another. Kids and us adults enjoy the room...More

A museum that showcases culture through music! The place is HUGE...the second floor displays thousands of musical instruments from all over the world, along with videos that allow you to hear some of them 'in action' and to hear the music of that country. You...More

I had no idea there were instruments like the ones displayed. They come from all over the world, different time periods. So very interesting. And if there's a performance available to see--do it

You could easily make this a two-day experience if you’re really interested in music. Well organized and beautifully displayed, there are instruments from all over the world. The headsets automatically play the commentary and music as you walk near each display so you decide what...More

I had heard a lot of great things about this museum, and I must say, we had a wonderful time. Will definitely go back again as an afternoon wasn't enough time.

Fantastic museum. Very well organized. I enjoyed every bit of it. It was fascinating to see different cultures’ takes on string and percussion instruments. Re American music, I particularly enjoyed seeing Tommy T’s Telecaster.

Yes, it’s a decent place to enjoy a show. Personally I like to be down front and center. But anytime I’ve been there I can’t say I’ve had a bad seat.

No dress codes - I'm sure any comfortable shoes are fine. My wife and I typically wear jeans/shorts and I wore sandals.

3 hours is about the time I spent there. It seemed enough if you don’t mind focusing on specific galleries. For music lovers, it may not be enough.
