i was really impressed during my first visit to The University of Cape Town. during the open day in marct 2016. Apart from the magnificent infrastructure University of Cape town provides an excellent service .

What a shame that UCT has been the site of so much dissension and demonstration for so many months...it does not behove the students accorded the privilege of belonging to such a wonderful institution to riot and desecrate and indeed destroy...the campus should be revered...More

The university offers some rooms for hire during campus holiday. They are very reasonably priced self catering units. Very comfortable too for families or solos. We enjoyed our stay and it was conveniently situated for escapades to malls and other tourist attractions. Best to hire...More

Yes it has become quite safe again. It was only unsafe during the protests on virtually all university campuses in South Africa when students were demanding free education for all - without screening, etc
