After driving around the island, this seems like the best beach. It is beautiful and used by local people and tourists, cruise ship people, alike.

Discovered this little beach while walking back to hotel, stopped for a quick swim...coral beach as everything in Bora Bora , suggest some sort of swim shoes or fins otherwise you’ll be dodging sharp objects!

Beautiful public beach, where also locals like to gather. A really nice place to enjoy sunbathing or even a picnic.

We almost spent 2 days at Matira Point Beach. We like how people maintain the beach and its cleanliness. We are beach persons, and from all beaches we'd been, Matira is NO. 1!

There is no public transport, however there will be plenty of Range Rovers near the pier that you can hire. We paid 5$ each way/per person. It's about a 10-15 minute ride, way too far to walk. The beach is stunning! Not very... More
