Beautiful place to watch the sunset and right outside and across the street from our resort! Beach was very clean and did have public facilities!

We visited here twice. Once for the day and another time for the sunset. Beach is very natural, sand is soft and you can walk out into the sea for miles. I recommend beach shoes as some of the coral is washed up on the...More

The beach is not very wide, but is the best one on the island! If you have nothing to do, this is a great place to not do it!

By most standards, this unbelievable beach was almost empty of people. Suited us just fine. We were warned by a local that despite the crime rate being very low, it is still advisable not to leave things unattended on the beach while snorkelling.

What a beautiful spot this is. Not for surfers, it's just a swimming beach, safe and shallow it would be perfect for teaching kids to swim or for novice snorkellors. Fantastic water temp and the colour is amazing. Apparently it's the only public beach on...More

Love the beach, water was blue and clear. Very relaxing day. My only complaint is the prices charged to do any thing in Bora Bora made it a very expensive place to visit. Found Moorea near by island just as pretty and a lot more...More

An excellent beach for those who want to get away from the waves and just bob like a cork. We were surprised how few people were taking advantage of this peaceful oasis. Perfect for those just learning to snorkel as they don't have to deal...More

The beach is quite long, has nice white and soft sand, palm trees for shade, corals for snorkeling, isn't too shallow to swim in and the colors of the water are picture postcard. There are some people but we've never seen it crowded. Also, there...More

There is no public transport, however there will be plenty of Range Rovers near the pier that you can hire. We paid 5$ each way/per person. It's about a 10-15 minute ride, way too far to walk. The beach is stunning! Not very... More

The Pearl is on a Motu and is a 10 min boat ride (might be additional cost) from resort! I don't know where the boat would dock, I'd assume Vaitape. In Vaitape there are many shops and a grocery store and pharmacy to get... More

Since you're staying in Matira I suggest stop by the 2 supermarkets in the town of Vaitape ( Super U or Chin Lee). I am sure it will be less expensive versus buying it from the hotel.
