Although advertised as open on Fridays afternoon, the Museum and the Fort were closed when we went today. We were told Museum and Fort are closed Fridays and Saturdays because of Covid. It would be helpful that such information be highlighted on the Museum website or the Fujairah Ministy of Tourism! Very disappointed.

This museum is very rudimentary but if you take the time, it will tell you a very interesting story. Most non-Gulf visitors will actually be quite surprised - IF THEY TAKE THE TIME TO ACTUALLY READ.

This is quite small with archaeological finds from nearby digs at Bidya, Bithnah and Qidfa. It includes vessels, arrowheads, beads, jewellery, weapons and various other collections. It is interesting and worth a visit. Costs 5 AEDs to enter (£1).

Visited museum with family. It is a good time pass and entry ticket is very cheap. It reflects ancient civilization of Fujairah. The kids also enjoyed climbing adjacent Fujairah Fort.

This is a small museum that you can visit in an hour, and it’s an hour well spent. There are examples of Islamic art, and there’s a good discussion of history. You get a sample of what life was like before this emirate became part of the oil-OPEC world. I especially liked the Maps, which are large and which illustrates the topography of the area with its many wadis.

Fujairah Museum needs more attention from Government and Tourism department. Very good place to learn about UAE in early ages. Living style and daily routines, traditional things clothes, jewelry will give basic knowledge about Arabic life in early ages. Entrance ticket is only 5 AED. Good staff.

We recently moved to the UAE and my kids, 9 years old, are trying to learn as much UAE history as possible. They really enjoyed the museum and seeing pieces from the local past. The admission was only 20aed for all four members of our family and well worth the admission price.
