We had our wedding at the Chalet and it was absolutely beautiful! Sierra was so helpful and kind in making our day a wonderful experience!

Great place to get out in the winter and enjoy the outdoors! Snowshoeing, cross country skiing and fat tire bicycling. Dogs allowed on leash.

Trails were well groomed and lots of options for all skill level.

Incredibly well marked trails.

Easy to find location outside of Palmer with plenty of parking

Need a $5 parking pass but you can conveniently buy on site

Nice views

The trails were freshly groomed and exceptionally wide for skate skiing. When there was no snow anywhere else, they had full coverage. Highly recommended for beginner to Intermediate skiers. Enough challenging terrain for a great day on the trails.

We attended a summer wedding at the Chalet and it was a small but comfortable! Unfortunately it was a wet, rainy and cloudy day so the views were obstructed, although we were told on a clear day the view is amazing!

One tip if you are an iPhone user...if you type in "chalet at government peak" into your maps it will dump you off down someone's driveway! Keep going straight on E Edgerton Parks Road and you will eventually see the sign for the facility.

The winter with lighted cross country ski trails fun. The Chalet can be rented for weddings or get together. The views are Spectacular every day but the changing fall colors are a must.

Did I say it was "Amazing and breathtaking scenery and area". A 25 minute drive from Palmer brings you to the foot of 2 absolutely naturally wonderful areas to drive, see, absorb and photograph. The 2 areas are Government peak and Hatcher's pass. Thoroughly recommend this area to visit. You will need your own transport, not sure if there is public transport or tour guides/excursions. Plan to spend 3 to 4 hours as a minimum.

Government Peak has well marked trails. The XC skiing trails are pristine and the hiking trails glorious at every turn. The chalet and bathrooms are fantastic. There is even a terrific sledding hill. Ahh, to be a kid again!
