What a great place to stop for some refreshment after a day of exploring Ketchikan! There is an outdoor area and also an indoor area which we chose enjoying the outdoor area with it being such a beautiful day. We absolutely LOVED Paula, one of the owners who was so welcoming and great to talk to. The prices are good especially happy hour and food great too! We stopped by everyday we were in Ketchikan!

We spent a couple of hours in the Arctic Bar before boarding the cruise liner. There were 6 of us and we sat outside on one of the tall tables and enjoyed quite a few pitchers of local beer. There was a 4 piece girl band on inside which added to our enjoyment. The bar is full of character and it was a pleasure and a great experience to visit this unique bar. Well worth a visit before getting back to the ship

Ketchikan is an essential part of any Alaskan cruise. The town is small and easily walkable. We've been 5 times. We always reserve time for a cold beer at the Arctic Bar, where we relax and watch the comings and goings of the cruisers.

I was at this bar in 1985 and it was a s....hole in a bad neighborhood at the time. When we had a stop on our cruise in Ketchikan I had to find this place.....and what do you know it is next to the cruise ship facilities...the whole area redeveloped and is in a nice area now. Food was great. the Bloody Mary's were some of the best I have ever had. The owner is very outgoing and is a character, she shared the Bloody Mary recipe with us....and it has pickle juice in it....we make at home for friends..lots of fun and we left Ketchikan with a smile on our face..

We met some lovely people here from a different ship that we were on and had a great chat with them. Bar tenders and the locals made us all feel welcome. Try the local beers!
