This tour was so much fun. The ride up the mountain in the ATV thing was scenic and Tyler gave a good commentary along the way of what we were seeing. Once we got to the dogs, Jae introduced us to the dogs and let us roam among them and get to know them. You can tell how much she cares for them and was very knowledgeable and friendly. I have to say my favorite part was riding the sled pulled by the dogs. I laughed out loud as we zipped around the turns. Then we got to meet and hold the puppies which were so so cute. Another favorite part was listening to Robert tell us about his grandfather who started the Iditarod race and how Robert and his family are mushers in the race each year. We look forward to following him and his team in the next race. Tyler, thanks too for the tour of Girdwood. Showed us restaurants we didn't know were there.…

Tyler (guide to/from pickup location to the dog sled location) and Robert Reddington Jr and Jae provided a very memorable 3-hour excursion during our stay in Girdwood AK. Tyler is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Girdwood, as well as the heritage of dog sledding and the pioneers of the sport. Robert Jr and Jae introduce clients to the dogs once Tyler drops folks off at the dog sledding location. My wife and I enjoyed the 'children' analogy used by Jae, with some dogs being extroverted with others being shy - all being very motivated to sled. Robert Jr took us on a great dog sled experience using a 300-pound cart that he steers with a 12-dog team enthusiastically pulling four adult clients (thus pulling approximately 1000 pounds with ease). The final portion of the adventure is time with the dog sled puppies - the Beatles litter (a four-pup litter, with each named after the famous Beatles...I got to play with and hold Ringo). Truly a must-do adventure!…

Tyler, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the sledding dog operation. When we arrived where the dogs live, the mushers Robert and Jae greeted us and their love of these amazing animals is apparent and the affection is mutual. We were able to greet all the dogs individually and each has their own personality. We were given the opportunity to put the harness on the dogs. You can see these athletes love their jobs as they barked with excitement. It was amazing to see how Robert guided the team and the communication between him and the dogs is remarkable. It’s really something to witness. We learned so much and had a chance to cuddle with puppies near the end of the trip. For those who love animals this may be the best adventure in Alaska and those who don’t, there is no doubt you will enjoy and gain a new respect for sled dogs. The views along the way were breathtaking too! …
