San Jose Walking Tour: Food, History and Architecture

171 reviews
Visit a pair of traditional markets in San Jose on a guided walking tour that explores local flavors, culture, and history. From a fresh cup of Costa Rican coffee to tropical fruits, you’ll sample the best of what’s in season here. It’s a great chance to see a side of the city that many visitors overlook, and walking around with a local guide means an insider perspective on life in San Jose.

If you are not a visitor in Costa Rica and looking to spend some time for a weekend, this place has a lot to offer. If you are a person who loves theme parks, then no other choice, you have to go !! Would not recommend to visitors to Costa Rica unless they have specific plans to visit this.

This is an adventure park with a purpose. The park's motto is "healthy children help sick children". Costa Rica´s Children´s Hospital is financed by the profits of this park. So if you visit, you enjoy and leave a bit of your money for this excellent institution.

Is very close to San Jose and is very secure place, the security is a most here. Pueblo Antiguo is a copy of the old Costa Rica which is beautiful and they have typical costa rican food restaurants and coffee places.

We visited this amusement park with our grandchildren and one of their friends (all between 7 and 11 years old). They really enjoyed it. There are a variety of rides that would appeal to children between the ages of about 4 and 13. I think older teens would find it much too tame. The atmosphere is clean, safe, and family friendly. There are various food stands as well as a picnic area if you want to bring your own lunch. Note that the park is a long walk from the nearest bus stop. So if you are not driving, I recommend taking the bus to the Hospital Mexico stop and then taking a cab from there.

The place was almost empty so we had the opportunity to ride every attraction, the inside restaurant called "Ventolero" is delicious and prices is average... Parking was a little too expensive I'm my opinion but at least your car will be secured
