See the best of La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano area in just one day with this tour. Start with a hike along the La Fortuna River, continuing to a suspension bridge tucked deep into the jungle. Then walk to a local indigenous village followed by a traditional lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Arenal Volcano for more hiking before wrapping your day up with a soak in a natural thermal river.

Even if you have seen many waterfalls in your life you have to see this waterfall when you are in La Fortuna. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit!

The waterfall is a beautiful sight. Going down is not too bad, and you can spend time at the waterfall. There is beautiful fauna around the base, and the water is clear to see the large number of fish waiting in the nearby stream. Take time on the 500 plus stairs on the way back up.

Definitely worth checking out! Very well maintained! Be prepared though there are 500 steps but there are little resting points along the way! There are restrooms, gift shop and cafe too!

I wasn't sure this would be worth the money, but it was. It's not too often you can get to the bottom of such a beautiful tropical waterfall. I'm 54-year-old woman who took the 500 stairs back up VERY slowly, and can say it was worth the views and the swim. I especially liked the swim in the little side river pool. If you have the time - go, bring water shoes and enjoy!!
