One of the better federal court houses. Nice to go through and observe the paintings all done by a nationally known artist who took up residency in Tuscaloosa.

This Federal Building is larger than life! The massive columns are amazing. The architecture of this building alone is well worth the visit. Inside you will find wonderful art... but be prepared to go through a metal detector as it is a Federal building.

The building is a great waist of the American dollar. It is very nice, but not necessary. When I visited the Federal Courthouse to apply for benefits, I was the only citizen in the building. This being said, it was a good experience.

The building and murals are a fabulous addition to old downtown Tuscaloosa. Other towns will want one but the $45+ M price tag may be a deterrent. Be sure to stroll the adjoining park to the East with a brick wall of plaques for Tuscaloosa...More
