About
Beneath the breathtaking atrium spiraling 33 floors up to the building’s crown, Patio Lounge makes for a spectacular setting for afternoon tea or drinks. Located on the 56th floor, Patio Lounge at Grand Hyatt Shanghai owes its soothing atmosphere to the warm glow of polished quartz columns and the dazzling display of high-speed lifts in their glass enclosures.

The Patio Lounge is in the atrium area on the 56th floor of the Grand Hyatt - sitting there you can look up the 33 floors of the atrium.
Note - some of the other reviews here are for different restaurants/bars in the hotel. There is no view of the Bund from the Patio.

There serve an afternoon tea as well as wine and spirits. They also have a jazz trio play on the weekends, which creates a nice environment in which to relax, have a drink, or a snack.

The food is basically snacks and small dishes. The service is good, though when busy they can be a little slow.

Go here for a drink - the view of the bond is superb, and you can see both sides of it. 100 RMB to get in including a drink.

Just completed another stay at one of my favorite hotels. Had a problem with my knee that required ample supply of ice throughout the night which was handled flawlessly with no delay. Shirley in the Grand Club always welcomes me and others back with a smile. She makes one feel like family and is a huge asset to this property.

It a great hotel in a wonderful location staffed by outstanding people.

The tea, coffee, cakes and savouries were great .The service was efficient, without being stifling. Sat there on the 56th floor with a 30 floor high atrium above you was rather odd. Its kinda like being outside. You forget there is all this empty space above you. Still, it all became apparent why they have this high open space. Smokers!

Great service, great view, large variety of quality foods, all what one would expect from brunch in a 5 star hotel. The very well laid out playroom for the smallest ones is a thoughtful and appreciated touch that made everything perfect.

The atrium inside the Grand Hyatt Shanghai is famous with its circular layers. I enjoyed my coffee and cake there looking up. The food is standard hotel and nothing special but the location is certainly unique. I think the whole hotel banks on its view and location.

As an experience it was okay the view was okay nice if only you get a good table which we obviously did not.
The food was average view was ok I can say that because before Cloud Bar we went to EPICURE 45 revolving restaurant in Radisson on 45th floor it gave us an exceptional view of Bund and entire Shanghai with delicious food.
We paid the same amount in both places in Cloud 9 floor snacks which was not good and not even filling whereas in Epicura we had starters and dinner for the same amount.
Also the service was extremely slow we had to explain them 10 times what we wanted and waited for 20mins for something like salt.

A pricey lounge, but great views during the day and night. At night you can see all the lights in the city before 2300.

As I stay at the Grand Hyatt when I co to Shanghai, I am a regular user of the Patio Lounge, and enjoy the buffets and attentive staff. I enjoy he fantastic view of PuDong and the Bund as I eat. Since the Grand Hyatt has mediocre restaurants, I happen to take all my meals at the Patio Lounge. An improvement of the language skills of the staff would go a long way in making it more user-friendly.
