I have been to many European and Asian cities but for architecture, Shanghai is the best. Singapore second. Paris third. (My opinion). Not related to architecture which is focus of this review, but street food and restored palace/old city were real bonuses.

There are many western unique building in China. But,I like this building I used to walk along bund to see the beautiful building The entrances, the lobbies, the grandeur of the buildings. Just wonderful to see them repurposed in many cases or continue to provide the purpose from a century ago.

This is a part of the Bund, you will find many different buildings which look like European styles. I suggest spending about one hour taking a view at this.

I walked by these buildings during the day and while I did notice them, it's nothing like at night. They are colonial, older buildings of European/Western architecture (that's what I call it). Seeing them lit at night is beautiful.

We just loved walking along the Bund and visiting these architectural gems. The entrances, the lobbies, the grandeur of the buildings. Just wonderful to see them repurposed in many cases or continue to provide the purpose from a century ago.

I travelled to Shanghai and was told a visit to The Bund was essential. That proved true. It was a misty day but I was mesmerized by the view. A must see in Shanghai.

If you're into European-style buildings, then go here! It's best to see those at night! Best if you could come around April or May where you get to strong on colder evenings compared to summer!

There are many beautiful buildings along the river front that capture the influence of European influences many years ago.
