This park is very large, think large area of grass with a lake and some scattered sculptures. It's kind of pricey compared to other nature attractions nearby like the forest park or the botanical garden though, and I thought in non-swimming weather, not a ton for kids to do. It is also surrounded when we went by major roads, at least half under construction so very dusty and noisy. It was empty though.

one of the few 'dogs welcome' places in Shanghai. Our Labrador seems to love it here, if you walk the left hand side first it is always less busy and good for dogs to have a good sniff about before going to the more busy other side nearer the lake with the boats and kids stuff. Good in cooler months/winter too.

Sculpture Park Tour (Recommended between 15: 00-16: 30) - Shanghai Sculpture Park (Shanghai: 上海 雕塑 园园), established in 2005, is the perfect park for art lovers and nature lovers. Surrounding the park are the Lush-Shan Mountains, and the center of the park is the Moon Lake. Inside the park you can see more than 70 unique sculptures that combine art and nature. If your children are too small to appreciate craftsmanship, they can run around the park's lawns as you stand and be impressed. If you are an avid art enthusiast, you will also find a small art museum on the park grounds.
Opening hours: 9:00 to 17:00.
How will you arrive? The Sculpture Park is a short drive away from the Happy Valley Park Kennel, so you can catch a taxi and arrive within a few minutes

We visited on a hot summer day, not the best option, there a lot of space but no place to guard from the sun. There is a large pool for for kids only. The place is really average.

Aside of the price which is expensive, our day at the park was good.
Adult 120RMB , kids 50 RMB.
You can rent an electric boat for 50 RMB / 30 min.
Don't forget to take towels and swimming suit since there are many areas where kids can play on waters.
A nice beach where our kids had fun.

The park was very clean as well as very green which is not often the case in China.

This is 45 -60 min from Shanghai downtown.

Will probably go again

What a great sculpture park. Some really lovely ironwork. Love that they keep the tourists off the grass.

Visited this big park during very warm Sunday and liked it quite much. The park is very big and atleast during our visit it was very empty, like 50 visitors in total. This already provided quite big contrast to many other Shanghai's attractions & other rare things are nice sand beach, lot of green grass, big tree house, small forest with rooftop "chapel" etc.

Lot of things to do for kids and would recommend taking swimsuits & towels for kids as there is an addition to sand beach big pool area with waterfall & smaller pool area. You can also rent boat to go around the pig pond in the middle of park, for four person boat cost was 80 RMB for one hour.

Park is located right next to Playa Maya waterpark and close by the the Happy Valley amusement park. Only negatives for fairly pricey tickets, RMB 120 for adults & part of park buildings/restaurants closed during visit (probably due to very small amount of visitors).

The Sculpture Park is a very large park and it is very nice. An easy walk in the park will take at least two hours. There you can see many interesting sculptures, and forget about urban bustle and relax yourself. In the park there are several places where you can have a beverage. There is also a little museum with modern art exhibits. Also, there is a giant trampoline as a exhibit and it's fun to jump on it. Park is definitely worth a visit.

This is a new place in Sheshan area, close to Le Meridien hotel. It's actually a big park with a few sculptures, plenty of grass and a few attractions for kids: electric boats, sand beach, giant trampoline ball. It's very clean, you can picnic or even setup your tent for the day. It's quite convenient as it's only 45 minutes away from downtown Shanghai. Definitely worth going there and alternating with other parks and sites in Sheshan.

Very much a join the locals visit. Good to get out of the city and away from the traffic to. stretch the legs. A bit pricey for the entrance 120 RMB but the restaurant over looking the lake was superb. We had a table by the window overlooking the lake - prices were reasonable ablout 100 RMB for lunch each of dim sum. Fairly easy to get to:on Line 9 out of the city to Seshan. There is a free bus to the Sculpture park from the bus station but a taxi will get you there for 15 RMB..
