I booked my 16yo son Shay into the full day winter camp for two weeks. It was surprisingly very easy to organise and the coordinator Flow was always very helpful and quick to respond to any questions.

Shay had an amazing experience!
He found the morning cultural activities were quite varied and interesting even for a 16yo!
Afternoon lessons were well structured and as a beginner, he felt he learnt a lot and was able to buy things in shops and order in food stalls and restaurants by the end.
Being from Australia he also loved meeting children/teens from all over the world.

I highly recommend That’s Mandarin Shanghai!!

That's Mandarin school was able to give me a deep introduction into Chinese culture with excursions and activities based on various traditions. This was supplemented by the mandarin language lessons that allowed me to understand the language. I was also able to practice my mandarin on excursions where I was abe to speak to the local people.

I took my kid to attend That's Mandarin summer camp in Beijing and he said it was the best experience he has ever had at a camp. He learned so much mandarin in such a short time and is not shy anymore. The teachers were wonderful and perfect at teaching, it is thanks to them that my child can excel at mandarin. My child made so many new friends, including Casper who was lit.

Our 2 teenagers really enjoyed their time at the summer camp. We chose the Full Teen Immersion program, which has more class time and less activities, and we can see that their Chinese skills have improved considerably within just 2 weeks.
Both of our children praised all teachers especially Wang Laoshi whom they really enjoyed learning from. We also like that the hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the campus. Special thanks to Joseph who coordinated everything from the start until the end of the camp.

I took my 15 & 10 year old kids plus daughter's friend to attend a 1 week camp in Shanghai. The 2 teenage girls did the boarding camp and stayed at the camp's designated hotel near the school. All 3 had an amazing time and begged me to extend for another week. While 1 week was way too short, our stay exceeded all of our expectations. The week we were there consisted of campers from quite literally all over the world. This alone is a testament to the quality of their program at a time when we rarely saw foreign tourists in Shanghai. The boarding option turned out to be the best choice for the 15 year olds as they got to bond with the other teens. At first, I wondered if some of the game activities may be too childish for the teenagers, but they enjoyed every bit of it. In fact, it was so nice to see the wide ranging aged kids to be all friendly to each other in a very socially mixing atmosphere. My 10 year old loved it and couldn't wait to go to class every morning. It's not easy to find a program that pleases both (hard pleasing) teenagers and 10 year olds, so that alone says a lot. The teens agreed that they felt they got the most immersion while at their daily post class excursions in the city. Spending a week in Shanghai alone puts one in a complete immersion state as not many speak English there. The Mandarin level of the kids seemed to vary and they were placed into groups. While I was happy with the exposure, I also wondered if the academic portion could have been a bit more aggressive especially with the teens to push them out of their comfort zones. I also took half day AM adult camp plus an hour of private lesson in the afternoon. It's great that they can cater to all of our Mandarin learning needs. Overall an amazing experience and we would definitely do it again! 1 week was too short, so go for minimum 2 weeks. Highly recommended!

I am very glad that my child spent a whole month in this wonderful camp! Tomorrow is the day of departure, and he does not want to leave! This is an amazing place! A great team. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Interesting every day! The days are not like the others. I never cease to be surprised by the imagination of teachers to make the education process so fascinating. We chose a full-day program with Activiti and did not regret it! It is absolutely safe to send a child to a camp with such teachers. Next year we will definitely come to you! Mandarin-you are the best!

We sent Alonso our 8 years old for the Summer Camp at That's Mandari. He is fluent in Chinese as we live in Beijing but he needed to keep the studies during the summer holiday season.
During the 2 weeks he participated he had a great time meeting international children and visiting fun/cultural spots in Beijing.
Teachers and team are super professional. We will definitely consider it for next year summer.

My 15-year-old son attended this camp in Shanghai for two weeks last month and had a great time! He takes Mandarin at school and wanted to improve his language skills with an immersion camp. The daily classes offered here were conducted entirely in Mandarin, and on weekends the group went out with a camp counselor to sight see. Accommodations were at a nearby hotel, where the kids stayed with roommates from camp. There was also plenty of free time in the afternoons and dinner out with an adult in the evenings. My son improved his language skills and enjoyed seeing the city (with parent permission the camp allows the kids to explore on their own on weekends). He made new friends and enjoyed authentic Chinese cuisine. Definitely a great experience!
