The area
Neighbourhood: Gubei / Hongqiao / Minhang
West of Shanghai’s better-known business, cultural and entertainment centers, lies an expansive area of residential neighborhoods peppered with lifestyle pockets that have their own unique attractions. The schools have formed pockets of international communities throughout Gubei, Hongqiao and Minhang. Quite a few entertainment and shopping centers have built up over the years to cater to these communities. While living here means you are relatively far away from Shanghai’s usual hot spots, the large parks, spacious homes and proximity to great Japanese and Korean food keep the neighborhoods popular.

From Jan 29 to May 5 2021, the exhibition here is Mancul De Recul: Interdisciplinary Trends in Art. There were some paintings. There was a section for Nail Art. Music videos. And, a big section on pop culture together with the Viki Lulu House creative art. Entrance fee is 80 Yuan; expensive for not much!

Basically has one traveling exhibit at a time so make sure you're interested in it before going. I saw a Mucha exhibit but it really wasn't my thing.

The Mucha exhibition, currently at the Pearl, was an amazing experience. Wonderfully curated, the show is organized by main conceptual themes during the artist's life and includes many absolutely breathtaking pieces of art. Also there is ample art historical information about the artist, his personal and professional life, and the Art Nouveau style. The museum itself is located on the top level of a large mall quite close to Hongqiao station. This is a plus when visiting, as there are many places around where you can relax and have a bite to eat.
