Beautiful park in the middle of nowhere.
This is a beautiful park to take your RV to as long as you don't mind going way out of your way from any form of civilization to get to it. The park itself is well groomed and kept very clean. Spaces are not exactly tight but still have little to no privacy and the constant passing of cars and trucks from fellow campers is relentless and annoying. If a remote getaway to do nothing more that camp is your goal you will probably like this park very much. If you also like to site see along with your camping experience then this is not the place for you as there is absolutely nothing nearby. Cell and internet service is non-existent, but if you are a camper this is not new news. …

Camping@ Smith Lake
We love camping here. We have been twice so far and everything is nice a shaded with wonderful view of Smith Lake. The lots are large paved with fire rings and picnic tables. Water and electric hook ups. Bath house...............Hhmmm. The first time we were there only one bath house was working due to a plumbing issue. The second time the other were still closed due to COVID 19. That is the only downsize and the only reason I did not give 5 stars. All loops are nice for children and adults. We will be back and hopefully the bath houses will be working on the loop we love.…

National Forest Camping
AT $32/night camping this is a beautiful spot. Water and Electric, no sewer just dump locations. Many sites are water side, look for the outside sites on the loop maps

Just a visit
It is a tributary of sipsey river that makes up smith lake and is a lot less crowed than the main body. very easy to get to.
