Horrible experience.
From our call to book, the staff was unpleasant. When we arrived we waited 25 min for an employee to come and place us, he hardly helped us to dock. He let us down to help other people on the harbor who returned a ticket.
No shower, disgusting toilet.
An employee told me that a shower was on the other side of the island. Did he surely find it amusing to be trotted out?
The port is not sheltered at all, and it is very noisy. Many children swim recklessly in the harbour.
I would have preferred to sleep on a bench or in a squat.
And if the employee who made me trot everywhere can read this comment: I punctured the wheels of your hihi bike

When my other half and I decided to fry the carcasses of our little bodies on the legendary Brac beach “Zlatni rat”, the question immediately arose - where to moor our modest boat. Monitoring of the nearest marina suggested that it was best to land at the port of Bol. For some reason, most of the tourist people think that the same Croatian Bol is a sandy “tongue” that is so loved by beach tourists and which is famous for the fact that, by the will of currents and waves, it periodically changes its shape. In reality, Bol is an ancient settlement on the southern coast of the island of Brac, which received its by no means warlike “name” from the Latin word “vallum”, meaning a defensive element of the fortress. Bol was first mentioned in chronicle sources, dating back, according to some sources, as early as 1184!!! Like any more or less large coastal settlement on the Croatian coast, Bol has its own small port, next to which there is a parking lot for small ships and yachts - a marina (Pristanište Bol). We moored at this very marina. As you can see in my photos, the yacht and boat anchorage is relatively small (just remember Morina in Split or Korcula). What’s convenient is that having landed on the earth’s surface, you instantly find yourself five or six centuries somewhere there, on the streets of an ancient Adriatic settlement with its outwardly discreet, but really cozy houses, as well as winding streets lost somewhere there, in the northern part settlements. Here in the marina I took a photo of a fairly common Croatian tourist “trick”: a kind of submarine, painted yellow (how can one not recall the legendary Beatles “Yellow Submarine”?), with a transparent bottom - tourists are loaded into its belly and are taken for a ride in coastal waters, allowing you to admire the underwater world. Here, in the western part of the marina, there is a two-story, seemingly two-section, yellowish building under a red-tiled hip roof with the number “1903” on the arch connecting the two buildings and the inscription in large letters on the facade: “PRVA DOLMATINSKA VINARSKA ZADRUGA” (as far as my modest Croatian allows me to judge – “The first Dolmatsky wine-making cooperative”). The fact that this is not just another building there, but really a cultural monument, is evidenced by the standard sign for such objects on the facade. True, the last one says that this is not only the building of an old cooperative, but also some kind of school. And not far from our mooring place, I took a photo of a strange monument: two bronze completely naked men, frozen in some awkwardly inclined position. For some reason I immediately remembered the painting by Russian artist Ilya Repin “Barge Haulers on the Volga”. It turned out that I was not far from the truth - on various Internet sites this sculptural composition is called “Fishermen Pulling a Net.” A little further, to the east, we managed to find another bronze sculpture - a bronze sculpture, again in a nude costume, with a naked toddler in her arms, sits on a concrete slab. There is a children's playground nearby, so you can ride on the swings if you wish. There are cafes and restaurants along the marina promenade, so you won’t go hungry. I liked Marina Bol for its coziness and a certain intimacy. Do not miss!!!

Small shops, bars, restaurants and the many boats make the Bol marina area lively and colourful. Furthermore, this island is worth experiencing!
