The distance that separates Santarém from Alter, is approximately 35 km. Access by paved road. Arriving in Alter from the ground we will walk through the village, visit the handicraft shops and contact with the villagers. We recommend wearing light clothing, bathing suit and sunscreen. Free time for bathing in the Tapajós river. On this tour is included mineral water.

There isn't a whole lot going on in the museum space, so you can dispense with paying the fee to get into it. However, behind the building, there's a lovely area to see the Amazon from, and a mango tree for the ages.
