The wonderful bustrip from Camocim to Ubajara was magical and a grand scenary of nature.
Everywhere you saw big sugarloaf mountains with a beautiful and untouched nature that caught the eye.
Arriving to Ubajara reflected a city in the middle of a lush garden sorrounded by forest and Palm trees.Ubajara had a nature in many variations and looks like a mix of rainforest with pine forest.
The Ubajara national park have a 600 million old year cave with dropformated rocks inside where you walk with a guide. The Cave is exciting too see and the formations are just beautiful and interesting,
In the park you can take a swim in a waterfall with a deep pool which lies on a height of 90 meters. The water from the pool forms another waterfall that fall 90 meters down.*Just beautiful*
Ubajara is a most for eco tourists that loves to encounter with nature and the wonderful experience it will bring.
In Ubajara lies the amazing waterfall chain called Cachoeira do Frade. It is worth both the trek and visit. But bring alot of water as Ubajara is hot between June-Sep.

I loved our visit to Ubajara! The park staff really made our visit. We arrived 40 minutes early for the 10am hike to the cave. One guide took us to the visitor’s center and to an overlook while we waited. Our guide for the hike, José Filho, was super knowledgable and fun! When we finished the hike, a team of about 4 park staff helped us solve our logistics for buying bus tickets out of the city- they made various phone calls and made sure we had what we needed! The service really went above and beyond! That’s not even to mention the park itself- we loved the cave and the wildlife we saw (many monkeys, butterflies, bats...)

I’m not sure how the visit would be for non-Portuguese speakers, but the guides were patient with our foreigner Portuguese and were happy to turn the hike’s history and nature lessons into Portuguese class!

Wow! Ubajara ended up being one of my favorite spots on our travels through the Nordeste.

We came early to the park and one of the guides showed us the mirante at the top and the visitors center with a 3D map of the grotto.

At 10 AM, we started the hike down to the grotto with a guide and a volunteer. They were both very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions to the best of their ability. We had a great time with both of them.

Bring lots of water for the return and some snacks to hold you over. The fun of this hike was in the full journey of it. Would recommend the park and its wonderful staff.

The park in Ubajara is definitely worth a visit, even if it's just to enjoy the view from one of the many mirantes. But with the cable car down for maintenance it's an all day 14 km round trip hike to reach the caves filled with stalactites and stalagmites. Walking in the park is strictly controlled and you must be accompanied by a guide, with costs relative to the distance you choose to go. The cable car has experienced many maintenance issues since operation began in the late 70's and is now undergoing a lengthy refurbishment. It is expected to be back in service by early 2019, but I would advise checking all available sources before visiting the park if you want to ride down to the caves instead of walking.

An amanzing place to spend some time. Waterfalls facing cliffs and awesome nature down below. It is possible to visit a cave using a cable car.

Beautiful park with reception center, bathrooms, snack bar, gazebo, craft store, tree house with playground, cable car and interesting cave. Very good service. For now, the park and cable car are free.
