A place with history worth visiting. It's free, but you must sign on the guest list at the entrance. Guided tours, also in English (free). The whole tour takes about 20-25 minutes

Despite the very hot and humid weather we are glad we made the effort to see this wonderful building from the late 19th Century.
It is open from 1300 - 1700 on Tuesday - Friday, and 1700 - 2100 on Sundays.

We arrived around 3.30 and were told we could have an English tour at 4pm; as an extra bonus the tour, and entry are free.

Our guide was particularly knowledgeable about the building, its past use and history and spent plenty of time in each room giving a description and answering questions.

It is a great pity that the building is no longer in use, but thankfully it has been maintained to reflect its past glory.

The Palace of Justice is an imposing building immediately behind the Teatro Amazonas. The architecture is stunning. There are exhibits inside the Palace which are not as stunning. Of note, however, you can still see the courtrooms which are quite interesting.

One of the most beautiful things to appreciate while visiting Manaus is its old days architecture. This is certainly one to admire.

Manaus is known for a great many things... most notably the Amazon Forest but one thing that isn't well known is that it housed Brazil's first law school.

The Palace of Justice's history of dealing justice is open for all to visit.

We did not have the opportunity to enter this building but it is certainly impressive from the outside. It sits opposite the Teatro Amazonas

I recommend to visitors who know a little history of justice in the state of Amazonas. Break their paradigms about the matter and will be surprised at what you see here!
