This is 3 stops away from Sannomiya Station. If you have a Kansai Pass, going to Harbor land is included in your ticket. It’s my second time in Kobe but first time to explore this part of Japan. It’s better to go here late in the afternoon to enjoy the view better especially at night. There are a lot of shops to explore and restaurants surrounding the harbor. It is kid friendly. With kid museums and attractions.

Super on a summer day. You can find many places to eat out on the extensive decks. There is an indoor shopping mall as well. See the novelty mechanical clock. There are cruises including night dinner cruises which go to the incredible suspension bridge to Awaji Island. If you walk to Merikan Park which joins Harbourland you can see the Kobe Earthquake damage now preserved and noted up - worth a visit. There are good hotels with courtesy buses to the centre of town and a really convenient Tourist Loop Bus. A whole day out!

The Kobe harbour is a nice place to spend time. We spent day in Kobe and after the end of the day it was nice to relax at the harbour. One can walk around, sit and watch the cruise ship or have lunch/dinner. Kobe Chinatown and Station is within walking distance.

Just a wide space for kids to do some running around. Some sculptures here and there. Good for photo taking. Quite cold on a winter night to see the light ups. Just a tourist “been there done that time”.
Beautiful sights but not much activity to do.

Took a day trip from Kyoto to see Chinatown during Lunar New Year. This was my second trip to Kobe. We ate dinner and road the Ferris wheel in the evening. They have a lot of restaurants to choose from and have boat tours during the day. After Chinatown, I believe this is the most interesting place to visit in Kobe.

Kobe Harborland is a great place to spend half a day. Be sure to bring your camera and a hearty appetite. Begin your tour of Harborland by taking a boat cruise. After the cruise, walk to the shopping complex Mosiac (1 min). Mosiac features international restaurants, shops, a movie theater, and a print club (where you can borrow costumes). On the second floor of Mosaic, pause for a 'Kodak moment' and take pictures of Kobe Tower. Treat yourself to a buffet lunch, and buy a souveneir of Kobe. Despite its commercial nature, the setting of Mosaic is quite pleasing. After exploring Mosiac, walk to the amusement park (30 sec.) and re-vist your childhood by driving a giant stuffed animal. Next, walk across the road and visit the newly opened Bee's Kiss. In Bee's Kiss, head to Dessert Harbor which contains oodles of dessert shops and a section of blood pressure machines(!). At the top of Bees Kiss you can work off lunch. Waddle your way to U-Para where you can play video games, soak your feet, sing karaoke, or shoot guns for a flat rate (around 1,200 yen/hour). Serious shoppers will love Hankyu and the top floor of the Comme Ca Store which sells ridiculously cheap housewear and clothes.

Harborland offers the visitor many tastes of the world, from traditional Japanese food to contemporary Brazilian cuisine, all found at the Mosaic. It offers a wide range of market style shopping arcades, great for momentos or odds and sods.
There is also a small amusement park with a ferris wheel and a couple of rides for the kids.
The streets come to life during the night and make fantastic photographs to show friends and family once returned home.
For the hardened foreigner living in Japan, there is a movie theatre to kill a few hours, and stores with foods that were thought impossible to get in Japan from our native homelands.
Harborland is a great place foreigners both touring Kobe and living in Kobe. I love it.

Easily accessible Kobe Habourland is the “Minato Mirai of Yokohama” here. This place is simply fascinating and amazing with no lack of activities within Mosaic and the surrounding buildings. Here you'll find marketplace which sell reasonably-priced items (bags, clothes, toys, etc) and a good range of other shops. Right across the road from Mosaic is another huge shopping complex Canal Garden which has everything under its roof... My wife got her Totoro-theme souvenirs here too! Kobe Harborland is also near "Umie" mall, restaurants, hotels, JR Railway, Ferris Wheel etc
Beautiful view by Day, Evening and probably Night (we did not stay so late..) too! Here it overlooked the Meriken Park where you can see the gorgeously lit up striking red and white Kobe Port Tower, with Hotel Okura, the Kawasaki Maritime Museum and Meriken Park Oriental Hotel (with its unique shape) that defines Kobe's harbourfront skyline view
With so many great restaurants available around the area which comes with a gorgeous view to die for [It has become my Laptop & Hp screensaver.!]. Alternative one can eat at the Food café at L4 which suits the expenses for most.
We did not try out the Fantasy Harbor Cruise (45 minute cruise of Kobe harbor).. The beautiful scenery and the chill-vibes of the place will make you stay longer, as there is so much to do here.
Harbourland is an easy walk from the station. Took a leisurely stroll along the harbour. This is always a “must-go” place when we come to Kobe.

I love this place! There is so much to do here. Lots of shops, a huge mall, plenty of restaurants, arcade, Kobe Tower, the maritime museum, etc. The new Anpanman Museum is there, along with a ferris wheel. A must-visit if you are in Kobe. Be sure to check out the Fantasy Harbor Cruise for a 45 minute cruise of Kobe harbor, it's less than $13 and it includes either a ride on the ferris wheel or a trip up to the top of Kobe Tower.

This place so very amazing. In the morning, you'll find market which sell cheap items (bags, clothes, toys, etc). Kobe Harborland is strategic place for holiday. It is near with "Umie" mall, restaurant (you can found "all you can eat" only 2000 yen in Fisherman Restaurant), hotel, JR Railway, etc.

Is there a Kobe Bryant restaurant at Kobe Harborland?

What is the best way to get from the Osaka airport to Kobe Harbor?
Written 21 April 2017
There are 2 airports in Osaka - Kansai & Itami. The most convenient way is travelling by taxi, however it is not cheap. I would suggest taking the airport limousine bus and the JR line. You can always use Google Maps to check on the schedule.

How far is Harborland from the Port of Kobe? I will be on a Princess Ship. Is there transportation? Thank you.
Written 16 April 2017
Kobe port is pretty big, so make sure you know where you are and where you're going. Walking or subway/trains is the easiest option. Buses in Japan is a complicated business!

How to reach kobe harborland from temamashi station
Written 4 December 2015
I assume you are talking about Temamashi Station which is at Osaka. You need to get to Kobe via the trains because thats a different city...abt 20 mins away via shinkansen.
You will arrive in Shin Kobe. Take the JR Train to Sannomiya Station. Then from there you can switch to the Kaigan line to Harbourland Station. If you wanna go to the Kobe Port Tower you have to stop at Minato-Motomachi station and go for a 5min walk towards the tower.
