Moty is one of the best tour guides I've had- and I've booked alot of tours on TripAdvisor from Thailand to Dubai. I wasn't nervous when there was not alot of info forthcoming about where we'd go- as I had read other reviews saying just sit back and let Moty take over. He picked us up at the airport and was prompt and ready to roll. We wanted to meet his wife Rita who had handled most of the coordination so he stopped at home and she made us a papaya smoothie- I mean really- she did that! Just too sweet. Off we went to learn about coffee (touring a plantation and stopping at a center to learn how to brew the perfect cuppa joe- it looked like a scientific experiment with beakers and bunson burners)... he drove us to Boquete where we saw hanging bridges, rain forest adventures, and the best was riding horses through the forest to stop at hot springs swimming holes. Perfect day from start to finish!! Met tons of locals (he knows EVERYONE) and was the best introduction to Boquete and David ever!!

We came in touch with Moty by asking for a tour to a rum distillery. Moty has contacts throughout Panama and has been able to arrange a private tour to Carta Vieja distillery for us. He recommended going to a sugar cane plantation as well, but since that would have been too early (sugar cane plantation workers work very early to evade the heat of the sun) we decided it was not worth our sleep. Moty, however, took us for a short detour to a sugar plantation anyway for no extra costs. He has extensive knowledge on Panama and the way people live in Panama. He took control over arranging meetings and communicates well about the possibilities. He responds quickly on WhatsApp as well. It's been an awesome tour and we learned a lot about rum. He was quite interested in learning about rum himself and took the liberty to ask some clarifying questions himself. It's been a great experience!

If you enjoy being herded around like a sheep then touring with Moti Hen is not for you. But if you want individual attention and the services of a guide who will get you down with everyday Panamanians and their activities then Moti is your man. Yeah, yeah, yeah, everyone wants to visit Boquete, and Moti will take you there. But he will also take you to the forest, a coffee farm and a visit with Los Gatos Solo. See a rodeo, a beautiful beach near David at sunset, a family harvesting and processing their sugar cane, Caldera, a hot spring, a small yuca farm (dig up some yuca roots for dinner), the manufacture of hand made cigars and beautiful Cerro Punta.
Stay at Kibbutz de Rita (Rita is Moti's better half) and enjoy a wonderful and plenteous breakfast and dinner before and after a full day of touring Chiriqui Provence. English, Hebrew and Spanish are spoken by Rita and Moti.

We first met Armando last year on the Quetzal Trail hike. He has an incredible amount of knowledge about the plants and animals in the area. This year we also did a waterfall and coffee tour which were wonderful as well. If we go back, we will make a point to find him again.

Amazing tour. Highlight of our 10 day trip to Panama. Moty goes out of his way to please you and make sure you see everything he promises and more. Other tours we took just gave us excuses e.g. water to choppy sorry it's hard to see dolphins in this type of water knowing full well before going out on tour.
Rita cooked us a great Kosher diner once we got back to Kibbutz rita at 8:15 pm.
VERY IMPRESSIVE. Thank You guys, kids loved it too-dog, monkey, donkey, horses, peacocks, turkeys, tods, etc.. the hot springs wow!!!

We had a great time with Rita & Moty. We stayed 3 nights at the B&B and were blessed with Rita's gift of hospitality. The accommodations were good, the food was excellent. Moty gave us two days of great tours of Chiriqui Province. He asks what interests you and he takes you to the real Panama in that area. We enjoyed Moty's all day narrative. Mostly English but sometimes he switches to Spanish with a bit of Hebrew thrown in. Learned new things, saw unusual places and got a taste of the many faces of Panama.

Me and my friend did a one-day tour with moty, and it was really amazing! Moty wont say too much in advance about the tour, but just trust him - you will have a really great and unforgettable experience! The day tour takes really the whole day, we started at around 10 am and came back at around 8.30 pm. Moty shows you a lot of things, he seems to know everyone and just takes you there. We visited a sugarfactory, coffee plantations, boquetes surroundings and in the evening we went to the hot springs by horse - this was actually the best part!
Moty is very flexible, so just tell him what you are interested in and im sure he will do his best to take you there and make it an unforgettable experience.

"Boquete tour". Amongst other, it included outdoor sugar production factory, coffee plantations, waterfalls, horse riding and thermal springs. I simply cannot put into words how beautiful this tour was. Moty, our guide, lives in Panama now for 30 years. He knows people/culture/history/places etc. If you come to Panama contact him, tell him what you want, trust him and have the time of your life. I would also recommend a stay at their hotel "kibutz de rita" in David. A "home away from home feeling". Hospitality at its best, plus his wife Rita, is an excellent cook. Moty & Rita gracias por todo.
