Me and my girlfriend recently returned from a trip with Pesca Panama, and wow was it a good one! We were on fish the entire trip. The captain and mate were very knowledgeable and accommodating, and the owner, Mike, was easy to work with and clearly intent on insuring that his clients got what they wanted out of their trips. They were always asking us what we wanted to fish for and making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. The barge is very comfortable, the food is great, the fishing days are long, the gear is quality, and the fishing is incredible. We caught a wide variety of species, with a 60lb rooster fish being the highlight. The barge is anchored right in the action, closer to where the fish are than any other lodge in the area. If you’re looking to fish Panama, I can’t recommend Pesca Panama highly enough. We’ve been back in the states for 2 days and my girlfriend told me last night that we need to start planning our next fishing trip. Ha. I agree!

I sure missed Pesca Panama in 2020. They have not missed a beat, and the fish are biting!
This is a near perfect fishing trip: lots of fish ( I caught 23 species in 5 days), excellent crew (highly endorse Jonathan and Luis), clear accomadatinos,
excellent food, happy crew, and cold beer.
I have been fortunate to fish several countries/lodges, and this remains my
personal favorite.
And I am already looking forward to 2022.

Pesca Panama is beyond top-notch. This is a first class operation start to finish, with no detail overlooked. From pickups and transfers to great quarters to amazing food to awesome crew, Captain Mike and his staff will make this the trip of a lifetime - no matter how many times you go back! Fishing is off the charts - the crews are knowledgeable and skilled, and will tailor each day to what you want - tuna, inshore, marlin, whatever. I boated 9 species of fish including a 275 pound yellowfin tuna.

Fishing heaven , with Pesca Panama.
This is a fantastic operation: great food, location, staff, and especially the time
spent on some of the best fishing grounds in the world.
Last week: tuna to 230 lbs, great inshore fishing with massive cubera snappers,
multiple roosterfish to 50 lbs, and species? one day inshore fishing resulted
in 15 different game fish.

I've fished on on the Pesca Panama barge twice and it's one of my favorite trips of all time. To be able to spend a week out at Coiba Island with no TV, cell phones or wifi and just focus on nature, fishing, and the people you are with is reason enough to go. Once you factor in that Coiba Island is one of the world's best and most untouched fisheries this place is a paradise.

The barge is rustic but surprisingly comfortable - 4 air conditioned rooms with four beds in each one plus bathrooms with hot water showers. The food is always fresh and delicious, the chef has been there for 20+ yrs and is always coming up with new items. The fishing on the 27' Ocean Masters allows you to troll for marlin, chase tuna all day, or get close to the rocks & islands for 40 different species of game fish - including of course cuberas and roosters. Can't wait until my next visit!

I am in love with Panama fishing, and have made 11 annual trips on the Pesca Panama barge. I greatly enjoy the very long fishing days, the friendly staff, and great food on the barge.
I have never had a bad experience with Pesca, and am already looking forward to 4/17/18 :)
This is an excellent trip for any blue water fisherman .

I've fished with Pesca Panama 15 times in the last 13 years. I had fished Russia, Namibia, Mozambique and 6 operations in Costa Rica and Panama before I was lucky enough to discover Pesca Panama Sportfishing. The mothership concept anchors you in the heart of the offshore fishing grounds and the 27' center console Ocean Masters are great fishing platforms for my 6 day(4 full, 2 half) excursions.

The flights from the US are easy and Pesca's ground troops seamlessly take you from airport arrival through the whole trip and back to the airport after a magical experience. On day 2 the Hannibal(mothership) is anchored in Coiba National Park, an offshore chain of 38 islands which is a World Heritage Site. It's protected. No hotels, condos or camping. Each day you can choose a short run offshore for pelagics like Black Marlin and Yellowfin Tuna or stay inshore throwing poppers or subsurface lures against beautiful rocky structure for Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper and so many more. I don't count fish caught.....I count species. On my last trip I caught 21 species myself while the entire group totaled 32. These are special people set up in a very special place!!!

Second time is often a disappointment, but not with Pesca Panama. The staff are determined to give you the best fishing experience ever, and they did. The captains and deckboys are very professional. The fishing is incredible, and we caught over 1000 pounds of fish in 6 days, topped with a 450 pound Marlin and a 160 pound Tuna. It feels like dragging in a Bull on steroids, and the whole body hurts the next day. But the smile never comes of your face. An experience for a livetime!
I'll recommend Pesca Panama to every adventurus guy, fisherman or not!

I’ve fished since I was seven years old and can’t remember a more enjoyable fishing trip. We had some rare windy weather, but the species diversity (30 species caught in 6 days) was incredible. The service on "Hannibal" a "floating lodge" (great food, full bar, laundry done every day), and the friendliness and professionalism of your staff and captains made for an outstanding experience.

What makes this service so unique is the "live aboard" boat. Being “in” the fishing grounds when you wake up every morning allows for so much more fishing time. On many days, we were fishing within 10 - 20 minutes, with both near shore and offshore species immediately available. Beyond this, your captains were tireless. The average fishing day was 11 plus hours…unmatched anywhere in my previous experience.

Before I left for Panama, I thought that the lack of internet service would create a problem. As a past corporate executive and current business owner, I found that being disconnected for the first time in my memory only enhanced my experience. I returned home with a clear mind and some new goals I wanted to achieve in both my business and personal life.

Overall...one of the best fishing experiences of my life.

If you are interested in minimizing boat travel time and catching more fish. The Pesca Panama Charter Service is for you. The floating lodge moves daily and anchors in a predetermined locations whereas the charter fishing boats leave early in the morning and return in the late afternoon. The lodge is equipment with sleeping accommodations, full bath/shower and dining area. There is a full bar and the food is delicious and plentiful. The captains and first mate are extremely knowledgeable, hardworking and constantly doing what is necessary to put you on active fish. I highly recommend booking a trip with Pesca Panama. I've fished with them three times in the last two years and cant wait to get back this May.
