After a horrendous journey of just over 24 hour's dew to delays we finally arrived to a very friendly welcome. Room was ok but does need updating. Lovely restaurant serving great food and the separate bar was a great place to meet friends. All the staff were friendly.

Just got back from 2 weeks on Biyadoo island in the Maldives with my family. Last time we visited was 30 years ago, and again, it didn’t disappoint.
Biyadoo is a 30 minute boat ride from Male airport and it’s a little jewel. It’s unashamedly 3 star and much the better for it, as you get a proper island experience rather than a ‘Hilton abroad’
Meals are all buffets, the quality of the food is excellent (both local and western choices). We were lucky to have Jobé as our waiter, he is an absolute star and made every meal time fun with his stories and ideas.
Biyadoo is a diving island, we all did further diving qualifications aided by Pierre (Mr Baguette - his name choice, not mine) who was knowledgeable patient and great fun to know.
We went there with Kuoni, which worked very well, and our island rep Jacob was helpful available and great fun to be around.
I could probably name check everyone we met, the staff were all fantastic, there wasn’t anyone I met who I didn’t like.
If I was very picky, the sun-loungers were a bit uncomfy, and we flew Sri Lanka airlines in business class, and it was a bit vin ordinaire, but neither were enough to spoil a lovely holiday.
If you want a ‘proper’ island experience with lovely helpful people, try Biyadoo, it’s a gem.

We did a day trip from Maafushi which was excellent value. Our favourite reef we swam at during our time in the Maldives. We saw an abundance of fish, octopus, moray eel etc. Great clarity underwater highly recommend for a day trip and snorkel.

Wish had of read the reviews before we booked really run down and not what was expected.

The rooms are really old and basic, basic meaning nothing in them really very old décor, smelt quite mouldy and the bathroom had a shower that went everywhere but on the body.

There was entertainment once I think but other than that really really boring there is nothing to do at all. We found the food to be bland and basic and overall would really not recommend this resort. When we tipped the waitor he did not even say thank you as it was expected. We went all inclusive but there really was not much choice the best stuff you had to pay for so the all inclusive option is in fact a con in my mind. Also why should you have to pay for water when it is a basic necessity a total rip off holiday and we would not recommend at all. Fake smiles plastered over everybodys face all week as they are told to you could feel all they wanted was the money from you.

Terrible never again

Biyadhoo island is so nice. We did not overnight there beacuse the hotel was expensive. Instead we did a daytour from Maafushi which only cost 25USD by boat.
The beach there is so nice.

The view is absolutely breathtaking especially the way the dark blue water and the turquoise merge into one great sea. The sun beds have been placed all around the resort and every single passage is unique in its own way with its exotic landscape. There is only one bar for drinks and snacks and only one high-end restaurant with serves a buffet. All the food and drinks are vet pricey at this resort. A bottle of water is about US$4. Overall it is a great spot for a day's trip to an isolated island and perfect for its scenic beauty.

It is a local island and there is nothing to do. We went to the end of the island to swim, the police came because we were wearing bikini. It's not worth coming here

Its an excellent place , some people will always find something to moan about . fancy going all the way to the indian ocean to moan about your cracked tile in a room. You only sleep in the room they are cleaned everyday and fresh sheets and towels the staff try their best . What do people want for a 2/3 star island . If you want mega posh go get one with an infinity pool. Biyadhoo is perfect no news no shoes.Staff are exceptional and kind and the island is just perfect the reef is excellent .
