Majestic and grand while jutting out into the man-made lake.

Absolutely beautiful. A place popular for tourists and photo op.

A beauty...
Jun 2020
The 'pink' mosque is a beauty - and in a beautiful position on the lake. It looks wonderful from everywhere you see it, and well worth seeing it from several locations and in different light.

Amazing architecture
Mar 2020
The Putra Mosque is the main mosque of Putrajaya. The building is adjacent to the entrance of Seri Perdana, and both are so pretty, they look like a couple. The architecture of this building is an eclectic mix of various islamic styles. I could identify Moorish, Ottoman, Mamluk and elements of Malay. The latter especially in the minaret. The building is decorated in a distinctive colour of pink, with the various domes in a deeper shade of pink than the rest of the building. It looks pretty up close, but even better from afar, especially on Putra Bridge, where you can see the back of the building and all the different sized domes.

Visitors are welcome to enter the mosque at specific times. I’m guessing it’s outside prayer hours. The mosque advertises the visiting hours. I do think it’s worth seeing the interiors, the main prayer hall has some fantastic Moorish architectural features.

Amazing architecture.

Extremely disappointed
Jan 2020 • Couples
From 26/01/2020, no tourist are allowed to enter the mosque apparently due to the virus, unless you look like you could be a Muslim tourist and then this rule does not apply.

can only visit a small part inside
Jan 2020
If you want to walk around inside the mosque, then ... you will be disappointed. They only allow you to see from the main door to about 10 steps more. The rest is reserved for prayer. You can walk around to see the lake and bridge.

Taking photos inside need to be very respectful, no crazy poses allow.

Magnificent!!
Jan 2020 • Couples
This was a very amazing and interesting place to visit on our SE Asia journey. The area where the mosque is located is also interesting, next to the Prime Ministers Palace. The journey from Port Klang is uninspiring but the end is worth the effort.
