Set in the 1600-1800s, this basically "Japanese middle-ages" village entertains and informs. The Ninja performance is so good I went back again to see it. The other performances are for varying ages and so there's something for everyone. Not as many food outlets as I...More

You basically have a throwback moment to Edo Period when you go to this theme park. It's a bit far from the city and other attractions. This is definitely off the beaten track. You'll be able to roam around in Japanese costumes (kimono, ninja costume,...More

This is definitely the most recommended activity theme park in Nikko. My husband enjoyed himself thoroughly. For 6000 yen and above you can choose to get dressed up for the entire day, and immerse yourself fully in the Edo period experience. Every hut in the...More

This place is a bit tacky for those looking for history and culture. It is more an amuzement park for kids and ninja or samurai fans. Lots of entertainment and little shows. Restaurants are available, too. Can spend 2-3 hours here.

it's kind of interesting to see a re-creation of an old Japan town with live action. However it doesn't feel that it was worth the admission fee, plus additional parking fee.

Come earlier to visit Edo Wonderland. It took 3 hrs from Asakusa Station with regular train. The place is thematic. Feels like you live in Edo era. Rent kimono or be a samurai

This theme park is near Nikko, so it will take you about 2-3 hours from Tokyo, depending on your choice of transportation.

Yes right where you get off the bus there is lockers. I had to store a lot of stuff and it worked out well. I can’t remember if they were coin lockers or free.
