This little gallery is tucked away, slightly off the beaten track of restos etc but well worth a visit. The artist is there himself, a man from Bordeaux, whose art appeals to all tastes. He uses woodblock printing and the results are lovely - plenty of nautical themes, some colourful, some bi or monochrome. Small framed prints start at around 70 lira (10 euros) up to magnficent prints on cotton for around 110 euros. Lovely guy - really worth a visit.

LikyaArt, a small gallery packed with original art, is two minutes outside the center of town, on the road to the (well-preserved) ancient theater. The woodblock prints, t-shirts, cards and so forth are all unique and unavailable elsewhere. Turkey and Kaş have a lot of stores selling exactly same thing; this place stands apart.

The subjects are mostly scenes or details from Kaş or other places in the region, Lycia or Likya. Some are of modern life and others—my favorite—are of Lycia's ancient remains. Something about the format and design of the woodblocks echoes the haunting remains of ancient Lycia, with its ancient culture influenced by Greece but still mysteriously independent. Among other things, Lycians wrote with their own alphabet, similar but independent from the Greek alphabet, and LikyaArt is the only place in town that sells t-shirts with these weird and beautiful letters.

In full disclosure, I should add I now friends with the proprietors, who are lovely people. But I liked the store before I liked its owners!

I currently visit the south Turkey and Kas, little beautiful historical town by the sea, is my favourite place to visit.
When you visit Kas, you should definitely come and see LIKYAART. This is an art and design shop and gallery. A modest little shop is full of 100% handmade and natural pieces of art. The wood prints designed by the artist including the Lycian ways ruins and history. Plus, you can also find natural cotton, hand woven and linen clothes and accessories.
A must place to see on your way in Turkey.

Claude creates beautiful wood block prints, water colors. His little shop is off the main strip and worth a visit. He is a beautiful man with a great spirit. I purchased two pieces for my partners 30th birthday and she absolutely loves them.

As I walked down a quieter street in Kas on my way to the amphitheatre, I found it refreshing to step away from the quaint old city area and it's many touristy cafes and shops. Just a few restaurants and guesthouses and then your eyes are drawn to a colorful and attractive display of cotton tot bags and t-shirts as well as framed artwork. Ulku and Claude, the couple behind the amazing LikyaArt Gallery and Workshop demonstrate their love of art and the Likya region. Once you walk closer to the gallery you will get a better glimpse of the unique woodblock prints and monotypes of the Likya region including its archaeological sites and scenery. Whether its framed one of a kind woodblock prints, textiles or accessories that take your fancy, you will be inspired by your visit to LikyaArt!
