Small public beach. Cold water at entry due to a spring running into the sea but warmer once you go a little further off the shore. The turquoise water is crystal clear and very clean. Great place to take a quick dip on a hot day.

If you are in Kas, you are almost discovered that finding sandy beaches in the town is not an easy job. Thus, my favourite is Buyuk Cakil Beach. However, if you are at the cafe nearby the "Kucuk Cakil/Little Pebble Beach", you can be beneficiary to make a brief swimming at the small bay. According to me, it is just for refreshing. In terms of sun bathing as well as eating and drinking somethings, tht beach area can be eligible.

Small Pebble Beach (a.k.a. Kucuk Cakil Beach) is 400m southeast of the main square in Kas (follow Hukumet Cd., and turn right at a tiny bridge, follow the stream 70m to the small beach). Its main advantages are that it is a public beach close to town and safe for swimming/snorkeling in the clear shallow water (no boats in the 15m channel). Other than that, the beach is pebbly (the name describes the size of the beach, not the size of the pebbles, so water shoes are advised). The beach has no facilities. Several beach clubs on either side offer (for a fee) swimming access, reclining chairs, umbrellas, food and drink. The beach is open at all times with no entry fee.

i remember the time i first tried the small pebble beach 30 years ago when there was barely any facilities around and i had impressed me as i could actually feel the sweet water coming up under my feet - one of the rare places you can go in and actually understand why the sea water in kas is chilling on the surface despite Turkish Mediterranean cost line sea water is usually luke warm in summer. it was a piece if haven to experience that 30 years agi and i would suggest everyone to try it once. there are beaches around it now with sun-beds shades and restaurants so there mag be a ton of people trying to walk in to the water from there at peak seasons so i would recommend earliest hour possible to try it as it is really a small nook rather than a whole beach (dont be fooled by the name) but it is the best in kas city area if you rather walk in than jump in :) try it once but dont dxpect too much

Very cold. Really small area. Is a public beach. No sunbeds or umbrellas. Located next to and is accessible through “Derya Beach & Restaurant” where you need to spend at least 50tl for each sunbed to not pay the rent fee. If you don’t want to sit on pebbles without a sunbed and an umbrella, you can go to “Derya Beach & Restaurant” and access the beach from there.

With pebbles, and very narrow, this beach cannot be used during high tide. Better off season, when the surrounding places are not taken up by the restaurants and bars.

Because it's tucked into a corner this beach has very gentle waters, which are that fabulous bright blue that you don't forget. We had a nice time here snorkelling looking at all the little fish.

We went again after heavy rain and half of Kas was draining into the beach, so don't go then expecting a nice calm beach!
