The Maharaj Market, or "Morning Market", is a huge wholesale fresh produce market that takes place within a roofed building located in right in the heart of Krabi Town. It is a vibrant market especially in the early morning. In this market things get started before sunrise, but around 7.30 a.m. is a reasonable time for visitors to go there for shopping. After 9 a.m., it becomes quieter and the working time is finished around noon. A Japanese tourist told us about an interesting Morning Market and we found it by Google Map , when we get there it was about 11 a.m. but the market still had good and energetic atmosphere and many thing for selling such as chicken, fish, fresh fruits and any kind of eatables. Maharaj market is a market for locals and the place for buying fruits and veggies. The selection is great early in the morning, and it is much cheaper here than at convenience stores. You can also find spices and nuts at MM, at affordable prices. If you intend to cook, then you’ll find not only rice, noodles or spices - but also meat, fish, eggs, etc. They also sell flowers and clothes. And there are the food stalls where you can get yourself a breakfast or early lunch (or both). Beware of the floor inside, which is always wet; the dirty water which constantly runs around can easily enter your shoes. Those who like to go to local market..this is the good place to see every morning..people sell fresh vegetable & fruits, fresh seafood, fresh meat and etc..they also sell food and drinks too with afforable price.. P/s: please wear slipper or old shoes because you dont want to mess your nice shoes here 😝😝 hehe…

This market has a little bit of everything and is very large. I would get breakfast here on my way to school at 7am and it would be packed! Always a great selection of fresh fruit and prepared food.
