I found this a very interesting tour of the process of Thai silk making. The gift shop is rather expensive but you don't have to buy anything!

Not a lot to look at. More a building than a village. Some information boards telling about silk, silkworms etc, some photos, some threads, some looms and that's about it. All done in 10 minutes.

Visited the place, bought 5m of silk for Mongolian traditional dress so called "deel". Friends and families found it nice silk after all. Specially those raw silks with natural color

Dropped in while waiting for a friend at the tailor nearby. Got a little tour of silk production, and looked at the devices for it. Wouldn't make an effort to get there, but drop in if you are around.
