This temple is very busy and very touristy. Although it should be part of every itinerary in Ching Rai. New architecture mixing with old tradition gives this place nice vibe and it is worth a visit. What is more, this place is free, so even...More
When we pulled up to the Temple I was not sure what to expect, but once we went inside it was just amazing. The artwork on the various Statues was beautiful, and when you went inside and saw the Buddha stunning
It is a great place for pictures and makes you appreciate the work that goes into the making of the temples whether they are for religious purposes or for tourism. There is a place for both here in Thailand and I would recommend going.

I have been to both many times. The maisae market is OK and full of stalls selling items - a lot of them are cheap and not so nice but sometimes you can get nice bedset or something. It is many years ago that it was a cheap place to buy everything. It is a very busy crossing town with lots of people from china, thailand and myanmar buying and selling. The blue temple is a beautiful temple that is a good memory to take home with you. I think you can find market selling cheap things like maisae in your own country. Go to blue temple.
