Very good location, great variety of food and huge portion sizes. Definitely the best surf trip I have been on. Rooms are basic but they are nice enough and far cheaper than any of the surrounding resorts that share the same location but at three times the price. If you book a solo room as a single traveller, don't be surprised if you end up in a dorm instead... But still had a great time. Thanks to Handra for organisation and logistics!

Handra, was very helpful from the beginning to the very end of my trip. The food and accommodation were only basic but very good value for the price point.
The lovely and helpful locals at the camp were always a pleasure to deal with.
The surf camp is ideally located a minute from ebay, with pitstops a 10 minute hike over the hill and Beng Beng a 20-25 minute walk along the scenic and beautiful beach.

We have spent 12 nights at the Nyang ebay surf camp, it is very well located, very close to e-bay and pitstops, to Beng Beng, a 20-minute walk that is very worthwhile, you go through the jungle and along the beach. Handra cured every details of the trip, from the travel to the food, Very good guy and helped us with everything. all the staff was lovely.
We highly recommend this experience. Thank you Handra🙏 see you next year

We have spent 12 nights at the blue homestay, it is very well located, very close to e-bay and pitstops, to Beng Beng a 20 minute walk that is very worthwhile, you go through the jungle and along the beach. We contacted through Hanrra, he has helped us a lot from the beginning to the end, very attentive, friendly and helps you with whatever you need, he is attentive to everything, he is a great person. The price quality is good, all the staff treat you well and are very friendly, highly recommended place.

Incredible island vibes amid a backdrop of waves of a lifetime. Kept and his crew are super professional and will organize everything very well. Yopi, the driver to and from Padang airport is also super nice and helpful.
I stayed at Papajam’s on Nyang Nyang Island—a super nice family offering their home with fresh fish and chicken, cooked with local methods. It is a great place to relax and have almost the same service for half the price.
I had an amazing time and was able to have an incredible surf experience even without much Indonesian language knowledge.
Just one watchout in Padang, there are some seedy characters that may offer you a “massage” when you arrive, just politely decline would be my advice.
I stayed at Papajam’s on Nyang Nyang Island—a super nice family offering their home with fresh fish and chicken, cooked with local methods. It is a great place to relax and have almost the same service for half the price.

Excellent service, had a great stay at this surf camp. The food was awesome and the included meal servings were huge which kept me full all-day while surfing. Pajam and family really make an effort to look after me and the other guests. Ebay is right out the front and the other breaks Beng bengs, pit stops and Nipussi only a short walk. Big thanks to Hendra and Yopi for organising everything so well. I will be coming back.

Great experience.

They took great care in helping us from arrival to departure.
Less fortunate with the waves, but we knew November is not the best time...
The camp location is great. Short walk to ebay, pitstops or beng bengs. 35 mnts jungle walk to nipusi.
3 meals a day with water, tea and coffee. They'll also get you coconuts on request.

What can I say that hasn't been said already, paradise, Handra was our guide through this epic adventure to the Mentawais, Masukut Island, the family home stay was just what we were looking for. We were well looked after and welcomed by Papa jum and his whole family.

Had an amazing experience on the Mentawais.
The room we stayed in was nice, comfortable beds and a mosquito net.
The rest of the villa was really nice and had a comfortable hammock.
There is a beautiful green lawn out the front which is a nice space to hang out in too.
The location is good as you are walking distance from many good surf spots.
Happy without having a boat included as this gave us the flexibility of booking a boat on days where we wanted one.
Food was pretty basic, a lot of fried fish and chicken. Not great if you are vegetarian or vegan. Would recommend bringing a few snacks with you for between meals.
Overall an excellent trip and good value for money. Will be coming back here.
