This temple was believed to be built by Pandavas and it gets submerged during high tide. Stairs can be bit messy so get a bottle of water to wash your feet post visit. We didn't go inside first time we visited due to all muddy stairs but next time we got water bottle to clean our feet

Location of temple and beauty around the place. 5 Shiv Ling as per story, built by 5 Pandavas during their exile stay. During high tide or rainy season, linga will be submerge and it is amazing to watch.

There are four shiiva lingas at this temple which are bathed with tidal waves. It is believed that these are established by Pandavas.

As it is part of the standard itinerary on auto-wallahs / taxis, you may probably get to visit it. Nothing special. In terms of architecture, it looks like an ordinary temple, in a cave-like structure, on the beach. Somewhat crowded. If you are short on time, you may actually skip it.

Gangeshwar temple is a unique temple as five shivalings are placed strategically so that the sea water touches all the five shivalings. Its a divine experience, one of a quite that guarantees pure bliss. It is very well-maintained and a must see for all Diu visitors.

It is a very humble place with unpretentious entry. The temple is a few steps below, around a curve. So one is really unprepared for the beautiful sight that awaits around the corner.

The temple has pancha linga (5 lingas) which is constantly washed by the waves from the Arabian sea.

One can sit there and keep watching the scene of the waves washing the idols on and on. We captured the sight and uploaded it at http://youtu.be/Njx5DlXqM1Q.

Beautiful - you can spend 5 mins or 15 or 50 .... its upto you.
