A splendid experience of the struggles our freedom fighters had to go through in order to gain freedom from the British rule! The Jail tour takes you through the various parts of the jail build by the prisoners, and the experiences they had during their time in the jail. It is a great experience as you can visit the cells, the workplace etc. during this tour. Follow it by the light and sound show during the evening, which is offered in both English or Hindi.

It’s preserved really well and so much history attached to it. The cells and the gallows are a must see. So much to learn about how the freedom fighters struggled. Must visit

This visit was a real eye opener. Looking at the cells with a narrow entrance and a lone window, one can only imagine the pain and horror that our freedom fighters went through. Hearing about the tyrannical behavior of Jail superintendent David Berry will make everyone's blood boil. The light and sound show is quite informative and draws huge crowd as well. Currently, there are only 2 shows at 6PM and 7:30PM and the tickets for the show can only be booked from the counter after 4 PM.

It showcases the pain that our freedom fighters endeavoured to gift us our freedom. But the sound and light show was disappointing. It feels outdated. Needs upgradation to laser shows to make it more informative and attractive.

You must confirm timings before visiting. You need at least 4 Hours to really understand what tortured life our freedom fighters went through due to inhuman British people. Light and Sound show needs improvement.
