Great little museum near the Pacifico shopping mall where you can see everything in a short time! Free entry and helpful and polite young staff, too. The top two levels are devoted to a succinct account of Ecuadorian Pre-Columbian history and the bottom two levels...More

I feel sorry for whomever financially supports this museum. It had almost nothing, occupying only 1 floor of this relatively nice building. Worst museum in ecuador.

This is more of a good review than poor. The Museo is very interesting, yet with limited materials. You do learn a lot. It is free and the staff are great. Modest exhibitions, but worth the time to go through. Particularly liked the local art work...More

We enjoyed a short stroll around this small museum. Artifacts and murals depicting life in the pre-Columbian era. Some nice contemporary art as well. Short walk from the cruise ship dock. Free admission.

Best part of this tour was when it was over, they had a fresh coffee grinder selling coffee to drink or grounds to take home with you, not worth the stop.

This multi-story gallery has some pre-Columbian clay and stone artifacts but without much explanation. Gives a little insight into the indigenous peoples, (they used balsa rafts to trade up and down the coast) which is interesting. They need more funding for sure. Worth a visit...More
