This area looks as though it used to be a nice area however it now is pretty dirty day or night has a large homeless population. Tried a few of the different food vendors wasn’t able to eat any of the food and the drinks along the boardwalk were not good either.

Small amusement park. Rides for young children however the ticket prices didn’t quite match the amount of time per ride. Inconsistent on that was a bit disappointing. No music on the carousel ride. For the 50 or so tickets we had the kids had fun, but we’re ready to go.

Entire family had a GREAT time! So much to do, so many rides to enjoy! The kids loved the rides & the games. We all loved the typical Boardwalk food! Great way to spend the day!

Dirty & depressing. Not what it used to be, like much of AC. Helicopter ride cost twice the price shown online, with rude jerks at ticket counter. Imagine the worst carny you've ever seen, if run by drug addicts.

Free entry. You buy any amount of tickets that you want / can afford to pay for rides. The lightings at night are colourful

Good old-fashioned games & rides. Took me back to when I was a child and would go to the local and state fairs. Not for the faint of heart as it can be quite overwhelming and loud for some people and children. There is a beautiful ferris wheel. If you want some "nostalgia" then this is the place for you!

Run down and expensive. If it's busy don't even bother because it is so crowded you can't move. Attendants for the games were rude. If you have kids I'd go during the day, but for adults this can be skipped.

Too expensive kids rides should never cost that much at least do a wrist band thing so parents can afford it.

Sorry, I missed your question. Hope you decided to go. The Irish Pub and Ducktown for breakfast at Maria's or lunch at the Whitehouse and dinner at Tony's....all excellent any time of year....

Hello. The steel pier is open from April to October. I believe that it's only open during the weekend in early April and late October, you can check their website to confirm their schedule. When I was there in June, the observation wheel was under construction and the opening is planned for mid-August.

Is Steel Pier directly off of the Boardwalk? For example, can I go walk up and down the Boardwalk and go to Steel Pier, or do I have to walk a ways away from the Boardwalk? Also where is the best place to park to get to Steel Pier and a nice walk on the Boardwalk.

There is no fee to enter the park. Rides are charged per ticket and tickets are 1 dollar each. Most rides are 4-5 tickets but a couple are 7. Buy the groupon online and take your family on Tuesdays when rides are half the ticket cost. This special ends at 5:00pm on Tuesdays. Not sure how late they are open but I'm sure they have later hours.

When does the Steel Pier open - we are staying at Resorts - the steel pier is visable from our hotel?

Steel Pier is open ever Saturday & Sunday 12 noon. Memorial Day Weekend Hours are Friday 4pm, Saturday, Sunday & Monday 12noon.
We currently have room packages with Resorts they are steps away from the pier and we also have packages with Atlantic City hotels, ext 228-28 and type in the word Thrills it will direct you to see what is happening at the pier.
Have a great summer season, hope to see you at the pier.

Regarding your question about a hotel being close to the boardwalk in Atlantic City, You did not give the name of the hotel. There are 8-10 hotels (with casinos) right on the Boardwalk, and at this time of year, you can get killer deals (try travelzoo and/or groupon, both are online.) for under $70/night. (plus the silly taxes of 14% and usually a $10 per day "fee") (which covers parking in a covered garage) Harrahs and Borgata are on the Marina - meaning they are not on the Boardwalk, but about a 4 mile drive away. They do have shuttles, though. So, if you tell me the name of the hotel, I will be happy to be more specific.
