Nice beach and local food. Family and friends can spend whole day over there. If you want rent anything there, you should bargain a little bit.

I live in Beihai. Two of my friends and myself visited here on January 23. It was 70+, sunny and absolutely beautiful. The sand was pure white and clean enough to take our shoes off. Best day in Beihai in months.

Good beaches all around Beihai. Good white sand and warm sea. Rubbish is the usual problem but try to ignore. For people who like to swim in the sea, Beihai is excellent and very very cheap.

What I like is there are less visitors, but there are more buildings around. It is actually a harbor for fishermen. It is inhabited by about 10 thousand overseas Chinese who came back to motherland in the late 1970s, especially from Vietnam.
