Our sunrise tour with Alessandro was simply fantastic! Right from the start, he grasped exactly what we were after: a photography-focused experience set against the breathtaking backdrop of Angkor.
Alessandro's profound knowledge of photography, combined with his deep familiarity with the temples, made for an unbeatable combination.

As relative newcomers to the world of photography, we found ourselves absorbing a wealth of information during our time with him. It wasn't just about the technical aspects; Alessandro guided us through the art of composition and how to strike the perfect balance in our photos.

Despite only spending a single morning together, the impact of Alessandro's guidance was profound. We found ourselves putting his advice into practice long after the tour had ended.

If you're passionate about photography and looking to enhance your skills while exploring the wonders of Angkor, I wholeheartedly recommend booking a tour with Alessandro. You won't regret it!

Just returned from a half day photography tour with Regis from Angkor Travel Photography. It was a fantastic morning, where apart from seeing the not so common sights around Angkor Temple complex, I learnt so much more about photography in general. A fantastic teacher, who has taken me to the next level in photography. Thank you so much..
Highly recommend Angkor Travel Photography. They know the business and you will walk away with a very enriched experience

I can't comprehend a reality in which I would have missed this experience! Angkor Travel photography far surpassed my expectations (which were high considering I'd wanted to come to Siem Reap for 20 years).

From Day 1, it was a joy to work with Regis. I was so overwhelmed as to which tour to book (Angkor Travel Photography has so many good ones) that I reached out via email with my style and preferences. From there, Regis was able to tailor a 4-day trip to my specific needs, goals and style.

Regis's knowledge of the area, the language, the people, lighting and locations were paramount to a successful photo trip. With the exception of Angkor Wat at Sunrise, I rarely saw Westerners during our 4 days together. We were often in areas so untouched that it felt like we shouldn't be there. Regis and I did a mix of people photography and landscape. The balance was great for me, my education and my brain and is the format he uses for most trips (half day temple / half day people).

As a professional 'people photographer', I really stepped outside my comfort zone with landscape photography. Regis made me feel so supported while also allowing me artistic freedom and NEVER 'poo poo-ing' my methods though they sometimes differed from his. I never felt like he believed he knew more than me. In this way, he's the best photography teacher I've ever had in a profession where there are often inflated egos. Regis is so humble, kind, fun to be around and crazy talented all the same.

While I gained a ton of knowledge shooting landscapes (particularly at sunrise for long exposure Angkor Wat shots), Regis also helped me think about new and creative ways to shoot people. He was my eyes in the back of my head so that I didn't miss great shots while being focused on something else. He also interacted with people so that they were natural and barely noticed I was sneaking in shots. I cannot stress the value this brings to your documentary / travel photography. I could never have gotten the shots I did without Regis's location and lighting expertise, as well as his ability to communicate (and distract) subjects.

Regis took me to private family homes where I got to see what people do everyday - people making sugar, sewing fishing nets, building baskets, sifting fertilizer, etc... I went to a village on stilts (which I MUST return to during the rainy season). I visited many monasteries off the beaten path. Regis knows everyone so the monks often pay you no mind and you can comfortably do your thing. What's more, is that he gave me recommendations for things to do and what to eat while we were not together. We took advantage of great morning and evening light without trying to do too much. This kept my energy up and make the experience feel elevating rather than draining.

From start to finish, this was a 10-star experience. I'll mention that I got into the country a day late and Regis was so kind to find solutions for me so that I did not miss out on an incredible day of shooting. I cannot wait to come back for the wet season and I will absolutely book Angkor Travel Photography again the next chance I get!

Great photo tour with Alessandro discovering hidden gems around Siem Reap. Very good photography tips from him and interesting stories about people and places that my husband, who’s not a photographer, also appreciated. Highly recommended!

I spent 4.5 days with Regis in and around Siem Reap. I had a wonderful time with him and learned lots. Regis knows the best times to see the various Angkor temples and has good relationships with many local people, allowing me to see the real Cambodia. I highly recommend doing a tour with them.

An invaluable experience! My husband and I both took so much out of our lesson with Regis- and my husband was using an iPhone. Regis is a great teacher and immediately gave us great tips for photo composition. His feedback as we tried new things was so helpful and encouraging. He was happy to focus on the areas we were most interested in and even adjust some of the temples we went to based on where we'd already been. He helped us take wonderful photos not just during our lesson but afterwards as well, and he took some photos of us that we'll cherish forever. We very much look forward to taking another lesson again in the future.

Had the pleasant experience of looking at the temples through the eyes of our photoguide Ale, who was super attentive all the time and accomodating (he had to change our itinerary last minute due to some hiccups at our end). We went to two of the temple a day before on our own, and still, revisiting the sites with Ale brought us new perspective (and more importantly, amazing photos!).

I mainly booked this tour to get a bit more insight on how professional photographers would capture photos of nature overtaking ancient ruins. Ale was really a professional and taught us how to use our phones to get the best photos (yes we didn't have any other gears :p)

Those who are interested to sharpen their skills will not regret this experience. Will definitely recommend this tour to all. Also I think perhaps if you are more into having extra greenery in your photos, rainy season might be the best time to visit.

Regis is the perfect host to discover the best of temples and Siem Reap surroundings. With great adaptability, he makes sure that you get what you want, and his advices for any level of photography are very valuable. Bring an extra touch of friendliness, great spirit and a kind heart and you'll have the perfect combination for an amazing photo tour - between temples and villagers, monks, etc. I highly recommand.
