The temple gets a 5/5, one of the world's great marvels emerging from the jungle and lovingly restored mostly by western agencies. The 1/5 is for the appalling, thieving management that runs this place. Not an unusual complaint, pretty much the standard top attraction business...More

Angkor Wat experience is amazing. I've been to Machu Pichu in Peru, Chichen Itza in Mexico, Tikal in Guatemala, Copan in Honduras, and I've seen the Egyptian pyramids. This completes the marvel of how ancient civilizations built temples (and tombs) on such a large scale....More

Visiting Angkor Wat is an extraordinairy experience. These Khmer buildings date from the 12th century and show the essence of Buddhist religion over centuries. Espacially the carved stone stories give A good impression of daily live.
