Wonderful and Fun with the Local Tour to Angkor Wat
Select this Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour without a doubt! We had the most wonderful time ever. Throughout the entire voyage, Rith, our guide, and Nak, our driver, have been incredibly nice and helpful. They arrived on time and provided water the entire time. They took us to areas that other people didn't see while we were at the three temples of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, and Taprom. The experience was wonderful and a lot of fun. Lunch and breakfast were excellent. 100/100!

    Awesome, just awesome.
Awesome and a must visit. I went with my family and they all loved the place. I recommend to do a guide. Else it’s just temples which you will visit without knowing the history. Split the tour in 3 days if you are with kids. The guide will take you for traditional Khmer cuisine lunch. Which is also good.

    Amazing!
Angkor Wat is the whole trip to Cambodia worth the money. What an amazing place and strangely not a world wonder (but just a heritage)… Make sure to bring plenty of water and good walking shoes. Maybe visit from east if you go early - then light is better for photography!

    Beautiful experience
Sen was a great tour guide for our visit to Angkor Wat. He was knowledgeable and presented the information in an easy and fun way to learn the history of the temples. We would recommend this tour and Sen to any of our friends and family visiting Siem Reap.

A Hot but Serene Visit to Angkor Wat
Absolutely stunning! I visited Angkor Wat in July, which means dealing with the heat but also fewer crowds and a more peaceful experience. I purchased online the three-day pass, before arriving in Cambodia, which is the perfect choice for exploring the temples without feeling rushed. As a helpful tip, it's important to note that if you choose to wear shorts when visiting Angkor Wat, you will not be allowed to access the third floor of the temple.

    Must see wonder
Paid for a tuk tuk to take us around the Angkor complex ($30 not including park ticket). Arrived for sunrise which I recommend. Bit of a crowd but to be expected. Paid $15 for a guide round Angkor Wat for me and my partner which I highly recommend. The entire day was a highlight of our trip an absolute must see.

    Wonderful experience
Great guide Bunnak (Nak) booked through Get your Guide. Dawn start with punctual pickup. Nak so knowledgeable and helpful. Took us aside to show details in several temples that the other tour groups seemed not to see. Patient with our many questions and provided a great background to the temples and the history of the kingdom

I was very overwhelmed on what to do when going to Angkor Wat! I did 3 days and loved the pace but I think you could do 1 day if you wanted to pack your day full. This is what I recommend Day 1: wake up and do sunrise at Angkor Wat and then when people all head into the temple go get breakfast on the east side where all the tents are then after breakfast go into the Angkor Wat temple and it will be WAY LESS busy. Also there will be people around Angkor Wat that want to take your picture and DO IT! just negotiate the price. I got 30 way nice photos of me and my husband that looked so good for only $4.
My next tip is get a tuk tuk driver and stick with them for everything! We got the best TukTuk driver to drive us everywhere for our stay and just paid him at the end. He greeted us with angkor wat paintings when he picked us up from the bus station then everyday he brought us lots of cold bottled water so we didn't have to buy any, fresh coconut that was delicious as a drink for mid day treat, and he took us to all the best restaurants. He also had a map of siem reap and showed us the routes and temples we should go to but ultimately let us decide. It was awesome to have a local who knew the area and he did them backwards (doesn't actually matter the order) so that the temples would be less busy when we went. It was so nice to sit back and not have to stress about what temples to go to and if i was missing any good ones. He also took us to watch the sunset at a temple and it was amazing. Our drivers name was Ly and he was also way cheaper then any of the other drivers that we looked at. He was honest, friendly, so fun and spoke amazing english. We were sad to part ways with him after our trip was over. He doesn't have a tripadvisor profile but he uses whatsapp and telegram for people to book with him as their driver. I’ll attach his # in case because our tuk tuk driver was what made our trip and gave us such an amazing experience. I cannot recommend him enough and he was the best. +855 979868162

A fascinating part of Cambodian history and a must see. It's difficult to say anything different from the other reviews. Suggest getting there early before the heat of the day. If you're lucky you'll see monks during their morning ritual in the pagoda. Take sun screen and a light hat. Watch out for the monkeys along the south trail, don't approach them. Respect the Cambodian culture.

The scale of this ancient civilization is mind-boggling, and the mystical atmosphere is truly captivating. Exploring the temples at sunrise, with the mist hanging over the ruins, was an experience we'll never forget. A must-see for any traveler! 👍

The best way to visit Angkor Wat is to do it without the help of a group tour! My Bestie and I stayed in town, and out front of our hotel we talked to the Tuk Tuk driver, who agreed for $40 total, would be our driver for the entire day and tote us around on our own time. It was absolutely perfect! He also handled helping us get our park tickets too. We found information on the internet for each temple that we visited, saved the pages for offline use, and guided ourselves here.

NOTE: If you are bringing USD with you, make sure the bills do not exceed $20 denominations, and they are BRAND NEW. The banks will not accept torn, crinkle, or older versions of US currency. I felt bad for the driver who had like $200 that he couldn't use, so I went into the bank to get brand new bills for him and swapped him since US Banks will still use them. You would have thought he won the lottery that day.

Anyways, Angkor Wat is incredibly stunning! Get here as early as possible, and research which temples you want to see the most. Go there first to have the least amount of people. Our driver drove us to a spot to eat lunch and get more water when we were ready - food was incredible also. I could have spent 2 full days exploring every crevice of this park, but my bestie was "temple tired" by the end of the day around 4pm, and we started early too. Our driver was also incredible with helping us take some incredible photo's too, which I don't think the tour guides would be so inclined to do with a group.

This is definitely a must see place, but be prepared for a lot of walking. Bring a gallon of water per person, dry wick clothing, sunscreen and bug spray!

Our Tuk Tuk driver for 3 days was Mr Jame 855 87 878 589 and was very polite and very punctual. Day 1, we did Small Circuit in reverse then sunset at Phnom Bakheng Day 2. Mr Jame and friend took us by car to Kulen Waterfall, Beng Mealea, and Tonle Sap. Day 3. We got up at 4.30am for Sunrise at Angkor Wat then proceeded doing the Grand Circuit. In our opinion we could not had a better host to show us the temples and explain the history

The majestic sandstone structure and imposing towers left us in awe of its grandeur. As the largest religious monument in the world, it truly lives up to its reputation. Exploring the intricate carvings and wandering through the serene setting allowed us to immerse ourselves in the ancient Khmer civilization. Angkor Wat is a must-visit destination for couples seeking a blend of history, beauty, and tranquility.
