Not being the shopper in the family my wife dragged me there, what a pleasant surprise, lots to see and the prices are lower than the shops for the same items, But be prepared to haggle and walk away if not happy, they will drop the price by at least 25 - 30 percent lower if you are buying more... This market had more unique stalks and some custom stalls that offered much greater variety then the other night market which is stall after stall of the same things.

For us, it isn't too interesting because most stalls are selling similar things. you can't find anything very exciting or special. Anyway, we didn't have anything special to do at night so it was still fine to go there to kill the evening time.

This is a typical night market you will find in any major tourist town in South East Asia. These markets are all selling the same stuff and are not cheap. However you will find some restaurants and bars around the area, so still ok for an evening walk.

What a completely crazy experience being in Cambodia for their New Year celebrations. So traditionally at New Year everyone throws water in the streets, at each other & passers by, shouting Happy New Year, it is a time of happiness with young and old, families & friends all armed with pump auctioned water pistols, bowls of water, hose pipes, basically... If you are interested in local culture this is a must. You may need to be prepared for a bit of culture shop. It is a family picnic area with plenty of local food and snacks including the talked about grasshopper, frogs, ants etc. When we were there we saw only 4 other Europeans but the market was buzzing with...
