About
Standing over 2,700 feet and 163 floors high, this record-breaking skyscraper in downtown Dubai is the tallest structure in the world. Burj Khalifa has several open-air viewing decks and swanky lounges which offer splendid views of the UAE and the Persian Gulf. The highest lounge is located at level 154, and there is even a hotel at levels 38 and 39. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill architects, this mixed-used development atop Dubai Mall is inspired by the Great Mosque of Samarra in Iraq. You might want to buy skip-the-line tickets or join a tour to avoid snaking queues at this popular attraction in Dubai. – Tripadvisor

Neighbourhood: Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.

This is the icing on the cake when visiting Dubai. Best time to visit is when the sunsets to catch the city lights as the day time view is not as grand with the dust masking the beauty tot the city skyline at times. Be prepared for a long wait down the elevators but it’s worth the trek up to 148 vs 124/125 if you don’t want the long waits. Don’t stay for the snacks as it’s small pastries with a selection of one.

Amazing view from the tallest building in the world. As for me it's better to go in the evening because the price is better and also the view is perfect

Absolutely amazing construction. Beautiful building. We pre booked our tickets to the 124th floor. Entrance was simple and the trip to the top in the lift was a great experience.
We stayed a good hour or so up at the top no one rushed you to move along you could sit and watch the views for hours if you wanted.
There’s a small coffee shop on the floor but no where to sit and enjoy the coffee.
You can’t go to Dubai without going up the Burj.
Fantastic views of the whole city and beyond.

The park and fountains are spectacular at night. It escapes my words to capture that moment. Choreographed water fountain and light show highlights the magnificence of the building and area.

If you're in the city with the tallest building in the world, you MUST go up it! But the view isn't that great - the windows are dirty, lots of reflections from the lights inside combined with a heat haze/dusty atmosphere outside make the view unspectacular. There's a lot of standing in line to do, both going up and coming down, even with a VIP sticker (much longer without one!) In fact the views from the 125th floor (where you change elevators) are actually better than from the 146th.
In summary, you HAVE to do this because of what it is, but manage your expectations accordingly. The sight of the tower from ground level at night with the fountains and illuminations IS spectacular and free.

My 15yo son and I traveled to the 148th floor and enjoyed the views over great Dubai. The sky was hazy and the sun ducked behind clouds before setting with much color.

It is a must visit. Khalifa is synonymous with Dubai.
Spare 2 -3 hrs for the visit. It is located in Dubai Mall so dedicate the entire to the mall and the attractions within.
