The area
Neighbourhood: Jumeirah
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighbourhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.

Beware guys

FAKE Emirati guy FAKE products FAKE authenticity FAKE Gold carpet FAKE certificate
They push you to buy stuffs giving some discount but when you go to malls you see exactly same products at a cheaper rate. These people are a shame in Dubai. Showing the world a bad image of Dubai. The law should be harder for these kind of exploitation.

I visited Saga Mall with family on 15 Feb 2020. It was made a part of the guided city tour. We were told by the guide that the Mall belonged to the Sultan's younger brother.

The salesman there was convincing us to buy a handmade carpet made out of pure 24k gold, crafted by the artisans of the royal house. He claimed that the carpets were exclusive pieces of art and that those designs wouldn't be available anywhere else in the world. He also assured us of its authenticity by saying that we would get a certificate from the UAE govt about the purity of the gold.

Later we found the same carpets in every other corner of Dubai- Dubai Mall, gold souk, Grand Mosque (Abu Dhabi) etc. There we were told that all carpets were only goldplated, the certificate story was an eyewash. Also the Mall was supposedly owned by an expat and not the Sheikh's brother.

Thus, plz research well before buying into someone's words.

Was unexpectedly taken to this place as part of our Dubai City tour (it wasn't mentioned in the itinerary) and I found this place to be just an ultimate tourist trap. I forgot the name of the person who took us around within Saga World, but he was incredibly pushy in making us purchase expensive items within the store. We were shown pieces of art "supposedly" made out of precious gems and gold and silver threads. They were particular about not taking any pictures inside. There were many gimmicks (lighting up the art work, rolling it up to show no visible marks of destruction etc.) as part of the presentation where he tried to light up the piece of art to prove it's authenticity and went on and on about astrology etc before even revealing the artwork. When it was mentioned that "precious stones were melted and made into thread to make this art" we figured we have been brought into a money trap where the presenter is not just a pushy salesmen but has no sense of what he's talking about and was just lying to sell items which were probably fake. There was also a mention about a table make out of camel bone, like come on? When we refused to even want to know the price of the pieces he was getting annoyed and when we were clear about not wanting to buy anything, he got incredibly angry, which was something that we didn't appreciate. The place resembles a mini-mall with many sections within for various items. But for the size, it was eerily empty, which again is proof of the nature of the store. My humble suggestion to all of you is to just avoid at all costs.

My humble suggestion to the owner etc. is that people value honesty, true quality products, a genuine approach and the rest will fall into place. Stock these stupid gimmicks and selling fake items.

It was a beautiful experience into the world of the Islamic Art and Heritage collection. We could see some beautiful collection at a Mall built on entirely different concept.

We were impressed by the knowledge shared by the staff guiding us, telling us about the history and art behind the creation of some of the most beautiful Carpets & Antique pieces displayed there.

We liked the Amazing collection in the Mall and enjoyed carrying some nice pieces back home with us.

Would not recommend this stop. Guests are escorted around different rooms to see pieces of art before the shopping area. Some interesting pieces but it was unclear what was expected from us. After seeing the tour of family treasures guests are invited to buy some artwork. But then have some time browsing shopping areas. Staff were very nice and helpful. Personally I would prefer to spend my time elsewhere.

Don’t even spend a second to go inside. All things inside are rubbish. I have many muslim friends they are all good people, but this lying bustard who sell carpets, jewelry in Saga World - you are not a muslim. Know that Allah is looking at you, all your lies is going to return back to you.

I, in behalf of my family, appreciate the kind gestures of all we met in this Museum/ Mall and I am proud to say that my family felt very special.
We believe in the power of stones embroidered in the skillfully crafted carpet made of 24 carat gold threads and silver threads.
We would like to thank all, specially Mr. Sultan who showed us around and who briefed us about the works of art, how they were made by skilled craftsmen who made with their own hands, for months.
They gave us a welcoming atmosphere. and we were just simple and ordinary family.
Everywhere you look are precious items. and authentic ones.
Thank you Mr. Sultan to you and your team. I believe that what we purchased will bring us the harmony that my family will cherish forever, We believe you and I will recommend Saga Mall to those who love art.
My family would like to say thank you for accommodating us.

Saga Mall is a high end place and expected to be expensive. But we were not discriminated even though we are not high salaried individuals. We are just ordinary people treated equally as the other moneyed guests.
The men & women of this place deserve to be praised and appreciated as they were doing their job impressively. This place is highly recommended. In fact Saga Mall was not part of our itinerary but our tour guide, Lucky, who became our friend , brought us here maybe for some reason we can't explain.
From the bottom of our hearts, Thank you and best regards to Mr. Sultan and Saga Team and Mr. Lucky our tour guide who gave us the opportunity to experience the wonders of precious art from Dubai, UAE.
I will be retiring soon and Saga experience is one of my family's most memorable and fruitful experience in UAE.
Shukran.
