The Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding (SMCCU) invites visitors and residents alike to learn about the local culture, customs and religion through its various interactive programmes under the banner and motto of the centre, "Open doors. Open minds.". The SMCCU offers Cultural Breakfast Monday & Wednesday at 10am, Cultural Lunch Sunday through Thursday at 1pm, Dinner every Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday night at 7pm and Saturday Brunch at 10:30am. We also offer Tours of the historic district every Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday at 10:30am and Saturday at 9am which includes a visit inside the Mosque near the Ruler's Court. We also offer educational courses and programmes for students and adults, and arrange private group tours and cultural events for your groups and institutions. Pre-booking and reservations can be made on our website or by contacting our office directly.

Fascinating insight into Arabic culture. All questions will be answered honestly and with clarity - no offence will be taken if you ask something naive about local culture. Worth a visit and enjoy the local delicacies to nibble whilst squatting in the courtyard.

Its not enough if you holiday in dubai not going to this place. You will know about cultural emirati and history. Its great for take a morning tour because will include breakfast and then visit the rest of the old city with your tour guide.

Very different to any other museum and so interesting. Mostly underground, which helps to preserve the artifacts. Goes on forever and you wonder if you are ever going to find your way out. I got a bit clostrophobic.

we did not eat there, we were allowed to do a walking tour through the entire complex. Found it very easy to walk around and it was quite interesting. No charge
