According to the cathedral inscription above the entrance door of the nave, the church was erected in 1734 by the obscure Kragujevac-born Stanisa Markovic Mlatišuma, and according to legend, on the site of the present church there was a medieval temple erected at the end of the 14th century, in which the saintly monk and saint lived and died. the Reverend Jov.

Small, quiet orthodox monastery, hidden among the pictoresque hills. Parallel universe in drop of water. One forget about daily routines and struggles, and starts thinking about its true self. Decent road is leading to the monastery, and it is easy to reach this special place. Built in the beginning of 19th century, it is strong spiritual center of this part of Serbia.

Draco Monastery is a convent ,this is a women monastery, located about 10 km from Kragujevac, in Draca river valley. Road is not very good - it is bumpy and a little narrower, however, the nature of the village is beautiful. The church and monastery are very old, but wery well preserved, first records of this manastery dating back to the 16th century. On the way from Kragujevac to Drace You can also visit the Monastery of the Annunciation in Divostin, also with a beautiful nature.

This is a women monastery (nunnery), located about 10 km from Kragujevac, in Draca river valley. Road to monastery is not very good - it is bumpy and narrow. However, nature and little village are really beautiful. Church and monastery dormitories are very old, but well preserved. First records of this monastery are from XVI century. You can also visit Monastery in Divostin with Annunciation Chuch on the road from Kragujevac to Draca.
