Memorial Park Sumarice is a place in the town called Kragujevac, in Central Serbia, where you can remember the mass murder of Serbians by nazi army. Really, it is an emotive park, where there are a lot of sculptures to remember people, who live here during 2nd World War Period and fight against the occupation forces. It is a place to walk, relax and remember the past. Also, in the central part of the park, there is the October 21st Memorial (a horrible day, when the mass murder was done in the town), where you can learn about the 20th Century History. In fact, a lot of explanations are only in Serbian language, but the staff was very friendly with us and he helped us and explain us a lot of things about the museum. Very interesting. Very emotive place.

This is a memorial park that should not be missed. It is a memorable and worthwhile experience. It is worth stopping at each of the different monuments and also visiting the museum beforehand. It is a reminder of what should not be ever again repeated.

As said, beautiful at May but yesterday it was raining other half of a day so we couldn't enjoy all day. It is worth visiting one of the greatest historical parks in Serbia from period of German occupation 1941. There is several monuments in this memorial park all made to remember massacre that took place here.

Memorial park is Kragujevac's landmark. It is not far from the center. You can either walk or take a taxi. It is cheap to go raxi. This memorial park is a beautiful place with touching history. At the entrance to the park, there is a museum dedicated to the victims that German Nazis executed during World War II. Very moving. During the German Nazi occupation of Serbia, students and teachers were executed at this location. This as a revenge whsere the Germans killed 100 Serbs for a dead German soldier. Sad and tragic history. It is a beautiful park with a tragic history. Highly recommended if you are hungry for history and fantastic nature.

This is an artistic masterpiece and a monument erected to remind us of First Grammar School pupils and all the people killed in Kragujevac by the Nazis in the WWII. Every year on October 21 people gather to pay respect to these victims of the war. It is located in a beautiful park called the Great park, which is part of the Sumarice complex. Nearby is a Museum of the WWII, where you can read notes which victims sent to their families before they were murdered. There is also a hotel where you can relax, buy a lunch, or a drink.

We came here to see this wonderful town, part of the history was the October 21 museum which is dedicated to the thousands of civilians that where executed by the Nazis during the Second World War. The museum is located a short work from the centre of town. Entry was free and a very detailed museum.
There are some art pieces from the war relics also.

The memorial park is not far away from the city center. You can either walk or take a cab. At the entrance to the park, there is a museum dedicated to the victims. During WWII, the Nazis shot people from Kragujevac here, including school children. You can learn more about the event inside the museum, which is very informative and impressive. In front of the museum there are last messages from the people who were shot, written to their families and friends. Very touching. Afterwards you can go for a stroll through the park. Many locals go there to spend some time in the nature. The walk is very refreshing and along the road there are several monuments and graves.
