You can enter from the Pile Gate or the gate on the Ploce side as we did. It's 150kn per person and we took about 2.5hrs to walk the entire length at a slowish pace (I stopped for frequent photographs and we also had a...More

Loved walking around these walls. We went mid morning which was fairly busy but no real queue. Also quite hot. Plenty of photo opportunities and great views over the old city and Adriatic would recommend

The best way to see the very beauty of the city. Make sure you are wearing good walking shoes. The visit is worth 150Kn/person. Some Game of thrones seen can be seen from above too.

Walking the city walls is a must-do for people coming to Dubrovnik as it provides great views and gives insight into a little piece of history. I would have liked some displays or signs informing us about the wall's history and facts like that but...More

Lovely views! You can also use your wall ticket to go to the fort! But remember to bring a hat and there's not alot of shade on the way round (apart from the multiple refreshment stops!)

Just do it before it gets to busy. Just magical. It takes a bit of stamina to do all the climbs (1.050 steps in total) but boy it is worth it.

The city walls walk is a wonderful experience for all ages. It is a long walk - around an hour and a half with stops for taking pictures, but the views are amazing. Like everywhere in the city, there are a few steps to climb;...More

Great experience to walk around the walls and gives a great overview of the Old Town. Stay away between the hours of 12-3pm as it gets stupidly hot! I recommend in the morning or early evening. There are various points around the walls where you...More

My advice is do this early morning (opens at 08:00) or evening. It is very hot and one needs water, sunglasses and a hat. Allow about 90 minutes. It is a very rewarding experience with fabulous views all round. I loved having a glimpse of...More

It takes at least ninety minutes but it is well worth it. You will see the whole town from a good height and also good views of the surrounding area and ocean. It’s a good way round but most people if average fitness will cope....More

You can pay by credit card or visa debit, so you don’t necessarily need Kuna. However, I’d recommend bringing Kuna for buying drinks etc throughout the day as not all places accept card payments.

No, there is no information as you go along, in common with most places in Dubrovnik. There are various guides to buy at Tourist Information shops both outside and inside the gate.
