It was part of Tito's vision of a united Yugoslavia to have a connecting coastal road from Slovenia to Montenegro. And it was not easy to build this road along the rocky coast where before were only small streets connecting the villages that are mostly...More

Much better way to travel than hurtling down the motorway. If you have time to spend a perfect way to meander along the coast back up to Split. Stop off on the way at the many parking areas to view the many islands and coast.

Imagine miles and miles of smooth two-lane highway with virtually free of traffic. Then add a scenic sunny backdrop including the Dalmation coast and the Dinatic Alps. Must be a catch- it's a toll road! However at less than ten Euros who cares?!! Route 65...More

We drove it from Ioannina to Croatia and I think it's the perfect road with amazing landacapes. Amazing and unforgettable views everywhere during the trip especially in Montenegro, Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina.
