This shopping arcade was just like a next-door shopping place, with a lot of cheap-priced products but no special attractions.

Los Pueblos is becoming famous for no other reason then it is featured in an advertizing blitz put on by the Panama Tourist Board.
For the serious shopper, you will want to go to one of the better know malls. This is a great place to shop if you are looking for bargin pricing. Expect to get bargin quality as the result of the low prices.

Clean and have a lot of places to buy. Just watch out for quality of some things. But overall, I'll definitely return

We were given a lift here by a local friend. It's out of the centre, near the airport. Our taxi back cost $5 to Panama Viejo, so I'd budget for a little more if you are closer to the centre or staying in Cacao Viejo. (they do say there are zones, and a ride across shouldn't cost more than $5, but the taxi drivers don't have to take you, so negotiate by all means but remember they might just drive off!)

The shopping is a different experience from the modern malls closer to town. No Versace or Cartier here, but lots of cheap goods. The area is fairly ugly, painted in bright (rarely matching patterns) but don't let that put you off. It's safe enough, I saw several Policemen on bicycles. If you need some cheap goods, this is the place to come. I needed a small sports holdall bag and a pair of sunglasses with UV protection, I didn't want to pay $50 for a bag and $120 for glasses in Albrook mall. Instead I got a bag for $5 and sunglasses for $10. There are lots of sports shops, fashion, and various assorted shops selling everything from Tupperware to Trinkets.

There are also several places to eat, including KFC and Subway. However, at one side of Los Pueblos, if you cross the road via a concrete footbridge you can get to a modern air conditioned mall with a huge forecourt (full of the usual suspects). Inside the mall are the more regular shops (Hilfiger, Moose, Sony etc) and to be fair the prices here felt cheaper than at other malls. There is also a Continental Airlines check in desk!

One final tip, you can get a Diablo Rojo from here to Albrook mall for 25 cents - but if you prefer to take a taxi to save time I'd recommend catching one from Los Pueblos rather than the modern mall - the prices halved across the road!
