    Machu Picchu Finally!
What a great place to be during your journey in Peru, after have spent a few days in Cusco we went to this amazing ancient building. It was on my bucket-list for many years and now I have turned my dream on real. We been very early there and avoid all the crowds and enjoyed as much as we can the views. We took a fully package included the bus drive up to reach Machu Picchu and a lunch at the hotel located at the entrance. So nice experience!

Unique trip that we will always talk about with my family
My family and I just completed this dream trip to Machu Picchu, and I am still in awe of the experience. Terra Quechua Peru took care of everything including accommodation, excursions to the various sites and transportation throughout the trip, we had a fantastic group and our guide Joel was the best! He was professional, knowledgeable and personable, and was proud to be part of Terra Quechua, every place we visited was beautiful, this trip was by far one of the best.

    A wonderful place to see..!
Utterly breathtaking. I have no words. Absolutely magnificent. Amazing architecture which is alive even till date and remains untouched. Must go to see if you are interested in old architecture and Strongly recommend getting a tour guide who can explain in detail about the uniqueness of the Inca architecture at 8000 ft height.

    Spell-binding!
Very simply the most astounding site I've ever visited, it is truly spell-binding. Yes it takes a lot of effort to get there even by train but that just adds to the magic. I highly recommend you pay a visit, i cannot see how anyone would be dissapointed! We did our trip with Into Peru agency and they were wonderfully fantastic.

    Absolutely perfect!
It was absolutely fantastic, We loved the tour experience, Terra Quechua Peru made sure we were well informed about all the times and details and made our trip to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu very memorable. We learned a lot about the ruins of Ollantaytambo. We learned a lot about the Inca culture and the history of the Andean cross. We stayed in a beautiful hotel in Aguas Calientes before heading to Machu Picchu. We had a great tour of Machu Picchu, undoubtedly one of the best landscapes the world has to offer. You should not miss the opportunity to visit Peru.

Best trip ever with Uncover Latin America
Just finished our visit to World Wonder, Machu Picchu and it was epic! We had a wonderful 10 day trip with Uncover Latin America who are a Travel Agency who came highly recommended to me by my cousin. Every detail of our trip was taken care of we just had to rock up and enjoy. Loved the hotels picked for us, the guides were really on their game, our guide Pedro at Machu Picchu was especially good. We had perfect weather traveling in May and enjoyed our Buffet Lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge and scenic train ride aboard the Vistadome. We did the hike up to Machu Picchu mountain which is a complimentary hike you can do at Machu Picchu but need to book in advance. We visited the Sacred Valley before Machu Picchu and stayed at the Sol y Luna which was a divine experience. We are going to miss Peru it was on our bucket list for such a long time and glad we finally got here post covid.

Traveling to Machupicchu gives me enormous satisfaction!!!
It was a wonderful experience in Machupicchu! I visited many places without having to worry about transportation, lodging, entrance fees, etc. The agency Terra Quechua Peru took care of everything and adjusted the itinerary to my taste and budget. There were some unforeseen events but as soon as I informed the agency they took care of it, always very attentive and friendly. They made my vacation an unforgettable experience. ✈ Thank you very much Terra Quechua Peru, for so much care and dedication towards me and your great professionalism.

A True Wonder of the World
Located a twenty minute uphill bus ride from the town of Aqua Calientes we arrived at the bus stop 7:30am to join the long queue of tourists already assembled there. Tickets are sold online some 4k of them for each day and an extra 900 at the ticket office in town for in person sales only. The journey to the top includes many hairpin bends and affords wonderful views of the surrounding areas. There are toilet facilities at the unloading site for a small charge, a buffet restaurant and surprisingly a hotel. From here it is a small walk uphill to the amazing Inca site. Our G Adventures guide gave us an informative 3 hour guided tour on what was a beautiful sunny morning.

    What an amazing trip!!!
I'm so happy I booked this 2 day Machupicchu+Sacred Valley package. Terra Quechua Peru made everything so easy. We had a fantastic tour guide who was very knowledgeable and passionate. Everyone was punctual and took very good care of us. Even the train tickets were well chosen and gave us a view of the mountains on the way from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes and the view of the river on the way back. The stops at the archaeology sites were amazing and well explained and included brief exploration times. Day 2 at Machu Picchu was fabulous, our guide explained the logistics, was on time, very knowledgeable, patient and clear. Good value for money and frees you from having to book them all yourself. Overall we enjoyed our tour very much.

Incredible journey on the Machu Picchu Full Day tour! Thanks to Terra Quechua Peru, unbeatable service, punctual, organized, ready at all times to answer any questions.
The tour From sunrise to sunset, every moment was an explosion of awe and wonder. Starting the day with the ascent by train from Cusco, crossing the picturesque landscapes of the Andes, was already an exciting prelude.
The tour guide, passionate and full of knowledge, took us on a journey through time as we explored every corner of Machu Picchu.
The experience culminated with the descent to the town of Aguas Calientes, I returned to Cusco by train, reflecting on the beauty and history I had witnessed on this day tour was an intense and exciting adventure, a living postcard of Peru's cultural and natural richness.

I've wanted to visit these unforgettable Inca ruins ever since I was a boy reading the fantastic Tintin adventure "The Temple of the Sun," which is clearly inspired by the real Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu, as you may know, is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We've now seen six (missing the Great Wall of China), and Machu Picchu definitely deserves its place on that prestigious list.

Admittedly, we didn't cry like we did when we visited the Taj Mahal (and the Great Pyramid of Giza), but we got goosebumps thinking about the organizational talent and overwhelming intelligence it took to build such a mighty city in such rugged terrain at over 2,000 meters above sea level. Without even knowing about the invention of the wheel.

It's so beautiful here that you don't know where to start or end with taking photographs.

A good tip: When you book your entrance ticket, choose Circuit 2, which is the most complete and will give you the most perfect photos from your visit.

We couldn't get any of the early times the day we could visit Machu Picchu, so we had to choose the arrival window from 1-2 p.m. That meant we didn't have to get up in the middle of the night in Cusco to make it - and by that time, the worst crowds were out of the area, while the sun was shining perfectly for our photos.

To have known Machu Pichu was a wonderful experience, and the agency Terra Quechua Peru offered us the most complete tour and according to our needs, all the staff very organized from the guides, the motorists and the connections in each point of the route, definitely MP must be the best wonder of the world, it is majestic, if so beautiful is half built (since the Spaniards arrived and could not finish building the entire citadel) as it would have been with the complete construction, definitely a work of art for humanity,

Today it is more orderly and very well signposted. An unmissable destination for any traveller.✌✌

What to say? This place is magical, unreal. The energy, the Inca architecture, the entire experience is worth every minute of your time and every cent spent. Wander through the houses and aisles, and marvel at the incredible work of one of the most advanced civilizations, whose culture is still pretty much alive in the region. Recommend staying in Aguas Calientes and taking the bus first thing in the morning. Visited in September and the weather was perfect - not too hot and no rain. For those with mobility challenges, be careful and take your time as the walk isn't easy.

The organization and personalization of Terra Quechua Peru in the tour to Machu Picchu allowed us to enjoy this wonderful place without having to worry about anything, Josue, our guide amazed us with all the explanations. Without his talks Machu Picchu would have been just a postcard. I love to see and know places that have culture, but Machu Picchu broke my expectations. The feeling of arriving and seeing such a majestic place is truly indescribable. Its construction in such a beautiful place allows and invites you to relax and observe how everything comes together perfectly.

If you travel to Cusco and you have the chance to go to Machu Picchu, do not hesitate for a moment. It is truly a must to visit such a beautiful place. Every dollar you spend is worth it and it really looks better than on TV.

Very very beautiful and unreal experience. The walking isn’t that intense, it’s all steps but not anywhere near as much physical strain as I thought it would be just to do the most basic tour (complete within a couple of hours)

Words cannot express the professionalism, kindness and impeccable service I received from TERRA QUECHUA PERU on the Machu Picchu Tour. Honestly, I could not have done it without them. My Machu Pichu tour guide served me with white gloves. Walking not only through the ruins, but also through the streets of Aguas Calientes, with my luggage on my back to the train station. . I never felt alone or unsafe on my trip, it was like having a private concierge who really cared about my well being. I enjoyed this trip and I am very happy to recommend Terra Quechua Peru!

Lifetime trip. We went 2 days. Lots of steps - maybe up to 1,600!. Plan your tickets in advance and if possible plan 2 days OR morning and afternoon. It may be foggy one of your trips and not in view. The site is now 1 way circuits -make sure to plan ahead. And you will need a guide. We were able to take water bottles in.

Machu Picchu is just like all the photos and videos you've seen. However, what you can't explain is how you feel as you are surrounded by mysterious jungle and mountains, looking out over the home of an ancient civilisation. The park itself is very well maintained, and they have worked out the best way to funnel people through - millions and millions of visitors every year. I had a solo guide booked via AirBnB Experiences and he was incredibly knowledgeable and knew how to get a good photo! There is no signage here so if you go without a guide, make sure you download an audio tour in your language first or take a guide book.
Getting the ticket to Machu Picchu was not easy because I had booked the tour too late, and they weren't able to get me a ticket into the site itself. I booked a hotel in Aguas Calientes for one night and lined up at the visitor center to get my ticket. The process is not straight forward. You get a ticket with a time to return to buy your actual entrance ticket, and you need to know which route to choose in advance. This is why I recommend you book a tour or a guide who can take you through all this, or carefully research the process before going.
At the entrance, there is a handy coat check where you can leave your bag as certain bags and items aren't allowed into the site. Research this before you go! The bag check is only $5 Sole (about $2 AUD).
When you go in, they will also check your passport so make sure you bring your identification with you!
The biggest mistake I made was not staying another night in Aguas Calientes as I had to leave Machu Picchu in a rush to get my train, then bus, back to Cusco. Another mistake was running out of time to get the cute passport stamp. Bummer.
Mistakes other people made: not researching altitude sickness and how to acclimate, bringing too much stuff, not brining a hat and sunscreen, or water! (No glass allowed)
A lot of people do the big walk up from Aguas Calientes, or the hike in via either the Inca Trail or the Salkantay trek via Cusco. I would say in any case, you do have to be able bodied to be able to get up all the stairs to the site and remember, it is higher altitude than many are used to so it's not easy to breathe.
Despite this, I am over 40 and out of shape, plus have asthma(!!) and still made it, so give it a go!
