Very good tour. Our guide, Jonathan, was very precise with the itinerary and gave us very interesting information, what your eyes see is amazing, a photo cannot capture it. 100% recommended. If you go to Ollantaytambo by train, I recommend buying tickets from 4pm onwards so you can enjoy the complete tour.

After doing the Inca trail to Machu Picchu I wanted to see other archeological sites and this 1-day trip (Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero) was a convenient way to see several archeological sites within a day. Jhonnatan, our bilingual guide, provided all details about the trip, sites, techniques used by Incas to build their cities, introduced to artisanship (Chinchero). I would recommend this trip to anyone - the trip is a good chance to dive into Inca's history, culture, and a way to explore archeological sites along with the beautiful nature surrounding the sites.

Willka Travel arranged 4 day trips from Cusco as well as guides at Machupicchu for us. We went to the Sacred Valley, Moray and the salt mines, Rainbow mountain, and a Cusco city tour. All of their tours were excellent. Their guides spoke perfect English, were knowledgeable, and made our tours fun. Thank you to Rolando, Jayder, and Joel for making our Cusco and Machupicchu trip one to remember.

We took the sacred tour valley, but missed out on the Moray salt mines and Inca ruins as it wasn’t included.

Instead we very briefly visited a silver jewellery shop in pisac. We didn’t get a chance to see any of the other artisan places in pisac and other reviews suggest this is one of the best places to go.

The whole morning was frankly a waste of time and I wish we had hired a car and planned it ourselves.

Ollantaytambo was by far the best part of sacred valley and I would suggest staying there overnight. The most interesting ruins (excluding the Inca trail) are in this area, Chinchero and Moray.

We visited Chinchero late in the evening as it was getting dark. Would have been nice to have spent longer here, so we could explore the site fully. Instead before hand we visited a local place where we were shown how weaving is performed and encouraged to buy and support the local community.

I would recommend picking very carefully which tour you do. Our tour guide was Johnathan and he was pleasant, helpful and a great tour guide. It wasn’t his fault that this particular tour isn’t designed that well. From a list of destinations it isn’t always easy to know how to trust a tour, so I would definitely read the reviews and do plenty of research on each site in advance.

Dear, Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Sacred Valley tour. We apologize for any disappointment during your visit. While the tour includes some highlights, such as Ollantaytambo and Chinchero, we understand your desire to explore more. Regarding your visit to Pisac, we usually provide a brief stop at the silver jewelry shop to showcase local craftsmanship. Guests can indeed visit the Pisac market during the tour with no problem. And in Cusco and the Sacred Valley, early evening sets in due to the surrounding mountains. Chinchero is a charming place our passengers often enjoy, especially for its weaving traditions, I am sorry you felt like you needed to buy something there, although many of our customers appreciate the opportunity to purchase from the local artisans. We appreciate your recommendation to research and choose tours carefully. We're here to provide the best experiences, and your insights help us improve. To address your concerns, the Moray salt mines and Inca ruins are indeed remarkable sites, but they are not typically included in the standard Sacred Valley tour. However, we do have a different tour option for those interested in visiting these locations. We agree that Ollantaytambo is a gem in the Sacred Valley, and staying overnight can provide a richer experience. Thank you for your kind words about our guide, Johnathan. We are proud to have knowledgeable and friendly guides to enhance your experience. We take your advice to heart and will continue to improve our tour options to meet our guests' expectations. Your feedback helps us ensure a better travel experience in the future. Safe travels, and we hope to welcome you back with an even more enjoyable experience. Best regards.

We did 2 tours with Willka travel, a 1/2 day city tour of Cusco and Palccoyo Rainbow mountain tour. The city tour was good and covered all that we wanted to see. Our tour guide (sorry we don't remember his name) was fantastic and he really made the city tour for us, his knowledge of Cusco and the history was fantastic. The only downside to the tour was that different groups joined at different times, we started off as 4 then after the 1st 2 more people joined and then after doing the 2nd place 4 more people joined, it just made the tour a little disjointed and felt a bit unorganised.
The next day we did the Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain tour and this was great, we had David as our driver and Freddie as our guide. Freddie was fantastic, he was kind and supportive on the walk and we stopped lots of times to take pictures and to catch our breath. He did take oxygen with him but thankfully neither of us needed it . We got there early and almost had the place to ourselves and the views are stunning (even with it snowing), would definitely recommend this trip.

We did the full day Sacred Valley tour and had an amazing experience with Wilka Travel. It was a busy day exploring all the attractions in the Sacred Valley. The group was small and our guide, Juan, was amazing. He shared so much valuable information and was able to manage the group which were both English and Spanish. The Sacred Valley is an incredible place and if your time in Cusco is limited, I highly recommend this tour.

Thank you for your kind review! We're delighted to hear that you had an amazing experience with Wilka Travel during the full-day Sacred Valley tour. Our small group format allows for a more personalized experience, and we're glad that our guide, Juan, could provide valuable information and efficiently manage both English and Spanish speakers. The Sacred Valley truly is an incredible place to explore, and we appreciate your recommendation, especially for those with limited time in Cusco. We hope to welcome you back for more adventures in the future!

We did the full day tour from Cusco visiting for a view stop at El Mirador de Taray, Pisac for beautiful views and moderate climb. We continued to Ollantaytambo for a fantastic experience of witnessing times from so long ago. Our tour guide never made us feel rushed. He set a slow pace and stopped from time to time to allow us to catch our breath. Our last stop was Chinchero . We also stopped for a nice buffet lunch in Urubamba.
We were picked up near our hotel around 7:30am and returned to Cusco around 6:50pm.
This was a perfect day and Warner, our tour guide, was considerate, knowledgeable and took our pictures whenever we asked.
We would do this tour again in a heartbeat.

First of all Willka were amazing, transparent and fast at getting this trip sorted for me. Originally it was meant to be as part of a group tour, but my partner did the group tour the day before i went as we couldn’t go together (because we have we have a 1 year old who we didn’t want to take up there) and she said it is better to go private as you can dictate how much time you spend up on the mountains and you can choose to do the red valley route back, instead of the standard route. So i messaged Willka and they changed it to fully private for the following the day, no issues at all.
The next day i was picked up at the time chosen by me (4am) met by our guide Guia Javier Pro, he greeted me, explained thoroughly what was happening. We had 2 hours to our first breakfast stop, he gave me a blanket and i fell asleep for the car journey. Breakfast is standard, fruits and omelette, plus unlimited coca tea which is good for the altitude. Arriving at Rainbow mountain, we began our hike! He gave me sticks to use, and we kept a steady pace, stopping whenever we needed, If i needed some oxygen he gave me the natural inca oxygen which worked a treat!
Guia Javier is the friendliest guide, he became my friend for sure, we spoke lots and we had no time limits up the mountain so we sat and enjoyed the views together, while he explained all the history of these beautiful mountain’s surrounding us. On the way back we decided to take the red valley route, which you must pay for when you’re up there (you’ll see people waiting to take your money) it cost between 15-20 soles £2.00/£3.00, Definitely worth it. The views on red valley are stunning! it is a longer route though for sure. Just to add the altitude is no joke, i would not recommend for anyone suffering with any sort of heart condition. If you still do decide to, atleast take a very slow and steady pace. Drink coca tea (if you do not have high blood pressure), chew coca leafs (same goes again), have the natural or normal oxygen on stand by. It is very doable just very strenuous with the altitude, being over 5000 meters makes it harder.

If you’re doing it in a group go with willka and if you decide private ask for, Guia Javier! He is a freelance tour guide who does so much!

This is his instagram: Javier_pro_pro you can probably message him!

Amazing trip!! Highly recommend this tour…Joel was communicative, knowledgeable, helpful and patient. He took us to the best photo spots and gave us a lot of history about Machu Picchu. A warning however, Mother Nature is wild so it is very possible it may be so foggy you don’t see the place so I definitely recommend the first tour in the am. It was clear for the first 3/4 of our trip and completely covered by fog the last 1/4 of the tour.

Did a one day Sacred Valley tour with Sandro as guide in August 2024 (solo female). The entire tour was extremely well organised. I chose to stay back in ollantaytambo to spend some more time at the ruins which Id recommend! I did not speak Spanish - and Sandro was excellent with handling a multilingual group and mindful of varying degrees of comfort with the climb up the stairs.

What I would perhaps remove is the trip to the shop (though other travellers liked that experience)
